Blog: Urine Therapy for Weight Loss
I will try to be as thorough and detailed as I can.
A friend of mine told me about Urine therapy when her Doctor introduced it to her as a way of helping her to lose weight. She passed on the information to me and I just thought this was the most disgusting thing I could ever think of. But as the days and weeks passed by I guess my mind got used to the idea of it plus I had a million questions whenever we talked. He had also introduced her to one of his patients who could give a testimony as to the effectiveness of using urine therapy - - this person lost over a hundred pounds, although it was done over the period of a year.
The whole idea is to eat a lot of grean vegetables and reduce the protein and starch intake. I started looking up information online and was amazed that this was not just a new fad that was making the rounds but something that has been practiced for thousands of years and maybe as far back as ancient Rome. Hmmmmm . . .
I also read that it was supposedly good for skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, acne and a host of other things. ohhhh kayyy. I also read that it was good for weight loss.
I started looking at my face in the mirror and noticed the lines going across my forehead and the bad skin discoloration on my cheeks and then one day while I was peeing in the bathroom . . . I just caught some and then started using cotton balls to apply it to my face . . . I let it dry and then I washed it off after a couple of minutes. In the meantime I was aksing myself "What the hell are you doing?". The smell was not bad at all, it was not unpleasant and almost non existent. While applying to to my face I was looking in the mirror and shaking my head . . . but I did it.
The next morning . . . I caught a cupful, about 8 ounces and pinched my nose closed and breathed through my mouth while amping myself up. . . I gagged halfway thru and then I drank some water swished out my mouth . . pinched my nose and drank the rest . . . I took a shower and then brushed my teeth. Later on I would be lauging and freaking out because Wow! I have drunk my pee! Seriously!
Well I am in for a penny so I might as well go in for a pound. I have already had it so I might as well finish what I started. This was my first week but it was not a great one.
I drank the firt pee of the morning after 4 am. I try to drink 8 ounces or a little more if I can get it down . . usually 8 ounces is the limit for me. I read that you are supposed to sip it like tea - well I am not there. I have to plug my nose and chug away then hurry up and swish with water and then swallow the water.
I missed a couple of days . . so for the week I did maybe 4 days in all which for a beginning . . I don't think is bad at all. I was supposed to gradually up the dose but I jumped in at 8 ounces and kept to that in the mornings.
What are the changes?
1. I poop better - not diarrhea - just better, no pushing or constipation - it just flows - TMI! but it is true.
2. I think I feel better in my body - more refreshed - like I am rested or something.
3. I sleep better - not longer - just better, I feel clearer in the daytime.
Ok that is the end of the first week.

I am curious to this!!
I am a type 1 diabetic since childhood, I am now 45 yrs old, I started urine therapy about 7 weeks ago. I have felt better, but are there going to be any problems if I continue?
I eat pretty good and I train and workout daily, I have no complications with the diabetes and am lucky in that respect. I tried this because of a friend, but am not sure it will cause any problems for me. I am also a smoker and have bcut back because of the therapy. Could someone please help me?
