  • Day #3 All Raw Vegan!   by  The Wanted     15 y     2,773       3 Messages Shown       Blog: 100% Raw Vegan on This Cooked Planet

Doing good again today on staying all raw, and getting a hard-learned lesson or two as well. The first is physical: my feet hurt more yesterday and today than they have in a long time, and I know it is because I am detoxing the awful things I ate this past week. The other lesson is that I should not let out all my enthusiasm and reasoning, etc. about eating all raw vegan diet to people who do not aspire to that themselves -- unless we are very close and I KNOW they won't take offense and understand.

I emailed one person where I just "let it all out" and was surprised to get an email back saying I should reexamine my relationship with food and relax, etc. That let's me know I went overboard in the wrong place. I MUST, MUST, MUST remember that what I am saying is very outrageous and/or threatening to many others.

I went foraging for dandelions today in new neighborhoods nearby. I found a lot, but it took a long time as they were just a couple or so "here and there," and they were the type that took a lot longer to clean, but at least I got them!!

I do miss the watermelon in my green drinks, but oh well. Today I made a green drink with 3-4 bananas (can't remember), blueberries, apple, half a pear, water and dandelion greens. Wasn't quite sweet enough so added a little raw honey and it was okay.

Oh, and at the store I picked up some mung bean sprouts. (I should start sprouting those myself!) I washed off a bowlful and poured the bit of leftover dressing and salad from last night's cucumber-tomato salad. It was quite nice.

If anyone here knows how to pray or believes in praying, would you do me a favor and pray for me that I can stay on this raw diet? It is so important to me to be all-raw at least 21 days before I leave here, and now I'll be leaving in just about 21 days. Idea being that it will not be such a huge struggle once I have been "abstinent" from my "drugging foods of choice" for at least that long. And I believe that people praying for you really helps. I will pray too. Thanks if you do!!!

    Michele

      Michele,

Me making it easy for now-I am eating mono meals. Just one or if I want two foods per meal. Don't make too difficult on yourself. Who wants to stress over recipes and meals when you are simplifying and detoxing. It is OK to eat only one thing per meal. :)

      Blessings and strength to you,
      Nutnberry
