Tanea Solium - I passed this Thursday after being diagnosed w Ekboms Delusional Parasitosis a month ago. I also passed 4 more today (or more segments of its body) along w a collection of seeds/eggs.

I spent the summer of 2014 in the Congo. We were in the bush, Lodja and Wembo Nyama. I didn't get sick until a year ago and was facing a diagnosis of RA b/c of the struggles with my internal organs. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia this winter.

Clearly I have neither. Nothing was passing and I was being directed towards psychiatrists so I finally started reading this forum. I started taking parasite cleanse and seeing a clear resemblance between my pics (flukes and ascaris) and someone else's across the country on cure zone. At this point I knew I wasn't crazy because that was impossible.

I bought quest horse dewormer (used very small drops on a q-tip) and passed a schistosomiasis egg, flukes, countless small worms and eggs and this monster. I've passed five of these now. My "real" doc was finally persuaded to take me seriously after the schisto egg.

In addition to all of these I have clear worms in my eye and seeing the eye surgeon (per my tropical infectious disease Drs urging) on Monday to ideally get the worms removed.

I have been back for 2 years, sick for two years and no one believed me until now. I very much appreciate this website for keeping me sane. Thank you all.
