new fungal grow thru gentian vio 22mar10

applied thick coating of gentian violet, an old school candida killer. 14 hours later..find new fungals growing through the gentian violet as if it were a
dandelion growing through manure. Over a dozen other locations treated in the same way..with similar results..multiiple new fungals..growing..in/through the gentian violet.. ?? does gentian violet only kill the yeast form of candida..? the fungal form seems to be quite immune to it. [?? is this candida fungus??]
