Re: Parasite help

There are stool tests available. They are not cheap and are not perfect but it might provide leads.

There are allergy tests available.

When you are finished with the cleanses I assume you'll start on probiotics.

Are you working with a natural or semi-natural, Functional Medicine doctor or similar?

There are supplements to help support stomach acid--Betaine HCl. Digestive enzymes might be helpful

I did not have long-term issues in the digestive tract. My primary problem was lead toxicity that had not been diagnosed by previous half dozen doctors over a 15 year period. However heavy metals affect mood so we not infrequently hear from detox group members that an insurance doctor was quick to offer psych meds rather than work on underlying causes.

I understand your reaction to your doctor's offer but also know that many people in detox support groups also reported gratitude for getting something to support mood while working on underlying causes. Magnesium and glutamine are two to consider for anxiety + digestive tract issues.
