Can drinking acidic water lead to weight-gain?

For the past few weeks, I've been drinking water that is quite a bit more acidic than the water than I usually drink; this acidic water has a natural pH of approximately 4.5/5.0 - whereas the water I normally drink is between 7.0 and 8.0. I was thinking that this water would better facilitate digestion of meals and supplements; I wanted to try to avoid diluting my stomach acid (which I may have a deficiency of) as much as possible.

This "experiment" with more acidic water wasn't entirely voluntary - as it turns out, I was forced to purchase this acidic spring water because the spring water I that normally buy was out-of-stock.

Well, it seems that there have been drawbacks to this acidic water. I've noticed increased weight-gain/bloating, as well as enhanced "brain-fog", and perhaps decreased energy at times. Is this reaction unique to me, or is acidic water known to cause bloating/weight gain and these other symptoms? Why would acidic water cause weight-gain - is it because the body produces "acidic waste" that builds up when Alkaline Water isn't available to flush it out, or is something else going on?

It's just remarkable (and a little unsettling) that my body seems to be so sensitive to something as supposedly minor and insidious as water pH. It's also unsettling that many spring waters or bottled waters on the market have a surprisingly-acidic pH - a pH more along the lines of distilled or reverse-osmosis water than "mineralized" spring water.

Thanks for any feedback. :)
