I want to thank the Intuit Company,
the Makers of Quicken, my financial program
for being such a wonderful company in striving
to keep up with the latest technology.
It is so reassuring!!!
So comforting to know they will
once again be discontinuing the current Quicken
program that I use for my transactions as of April 7, 07.
Yes, I'll just run right out now and get me a new
Mac so I can keep up.
Luckily, Union Bank has my accounts on the web.

In an ongoing effort to provide reliable high-quality products and services, Intuit periodically retires older versions (also known as “discontinuation” and formerly as “sunsetting”) of Quicken, thereby discontinuing online services and live technical support for these versions.
Under this policy, the most current version of Quicken (currently Quicken 2007), plus the prior two versions, will be supported, subject to certain exceptions. Discontinuing older versions of Quicken enables Intuit to focus resources on enhancing its products and providing support for more current versions, which are used by most Quicken customers.
When a Quicken product is scheduled to be discontinued, Intuit provides affected customers with advance notice, generally by means of this Web site. This Web site is updated periodically, so please visit again for more information as it becomes available.

Do I have to install Internet Explorer 6? (Quicken for Windows)
If you already have Internet Explorer 6.x , Quicken detects it during the installation process and does not attempt to install the version included with your new Quicken software. If you do not have Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.x, Quicken attempts to install it for you automatically.
Other browsers can be used with Quicken. However, Internet Explorer 6.x with 128-bit SSL high-security encryption or higher is required to use many program features such as Registration, Retirement Planner, College Planner, and Debt Reduction Planner.
The version of Internet Explorer 6 that is installed with Quicken has the necessary 128-bit SSL high-security encryption required for personal online financial transactions. Use Intuit's automatic browser test on the Web at
http://www.intuit.com/support/browsertest
to determine if another browser you are using has the required level of encryption.
Below is a list of the different encryption levels needed for specific Quicken features and services.
