Today's workout:
I didn't feel like running today. I went walking with my husband and took some weights with me. When I got back, my mind was dead set against running to the horsefarm and back. So... I decided to do a muscle workout.
Chest presses with a cinderblock 40 reps
Chest presses with basketball 20 reps
Walking with the concrete buckets 25 feets 12-ft rest then 12-ft back around while my husband watched, smiled and said.. "Awwww my baby is special". I march to the beat of my own drum biggrin.gif
DB chest press on my makeshift exercise bench (my FIL's large fish cooler) 2 sets-10 reps each 15# db
I set up my Total Gym at long last. It needs a little cleaning and some new parts. It will be under a tarp and well kept now.
30 minutes on the Total Gym
tricep extensions
pushups 20 with 2-25# plates
chestflyes as best i could do them
and 15 minutes of rowing
Boy I'm glad I bought the Total Gym. It cost me $1000 a few years back. I'm glad I never sold it. Tonight I'm going to do some research on the website for parts, good exercises,etc.
I also found out that the direction of nursing was on vacation. I applied to this job and was wondering why I didn't get a call back! Anyway, the job search continues.
