Wheatgrass research or marketing?? by ren .....

early morning wheatgrass musings

I find that most of what is on the internet isn't serious science but marketing babble. I decided to do a pubmed search for wheatgrass and found some interesting extracts!

Meanwhile, I am now sprouting my seeds and also growing my trays in my room. It has a significant portion of sun everyday now and the air is drier. I'm getting a spray bottle to spray water with a mineral mix onto the soil instead of the pour sprinkle method (encourages mold). I can't afford ocean grown solution (yet) but at some point in the future I'd love to use it as well as use Sonic Bloom http://www.sonicbloom.com/
Sprouting the trays in my room seems to have a calming effect on me. I read that wheatgrass is an anti-pollutant but we'll see how true that is soon enough. My computer is in my room. Even though I keep it off most of the time, sometimes the big Dell computer is on. My ibook sits on the nighttable next to me playing my cd's. Oh that's another thing, I play dna activation music all day and night for my kombucha tea mushrooms so I wonder how that's affecting the wheatgrass. Every bits help. BTW, I didn't like rejuvelac. Just not my style :(

This time around I'm growing two trays. One for drinking and one for topical applications, douches and enemas. I have to reorder my seeds from wheatgrasskits.com. I know that I can go to Whole Foods and get seeds but I have no idea if they are organic. Whenever I wash those, I notice they're not of the best quality, not like the ones I got from wheatgrasskits.

Someday I would love to see double blind placebo controlled studies on wheatgrass. I am eventually going to buy the frozen wheatgrass to see if the frozen vs. tray thing is BS. No one has actually tested wheatgrass to see if the surface mold actually affects it or not. I am not a quackbuster BUT I do like to see some solid sound science behind the things that I do.
