the wheatgrass growing continues

I purchased a tray of wheatgrass during my last days at Whole Foods. The juice was okay BUT my first tray of homegrown grass has reached maturity, past the first jointing stage. It's WAY greener than the tray I bought and thicker. I remember trying to grow wheatgrass in the health food store and it came out really whimpy and yellow. There was no sunlight really. This tray I have now sits by my dining room window near the radiator and it took all but a week to grow after I let the seeds soak for a day. It took about two days for the seeds to sprout in the dirt.
Yesterday, I did four ounce shot of grass to get myself out of depression. It worked, worked almost as good as coffee! :O
My kombucha batches are also going along very well. I made one batch with black tea and regular sugar. It's still a little sweet after two weeks so I'm letting it sit some more. I made another batch with Yogi Tea Green blend and regular sugar. That one will sit for two weeks.
I have half of a baby sitting in a ziploc bag. I need one more sun tea jar and that will be it. I want to keep rotating them till I have enough KT to supply myself with two cups of tea every day and enough for my family too.
Did I mention my dog is drinking wheatgrass? I put a tablespoon of wheatgrass in her bowl water. She drinks it and her doggie breath smells way better. She never lets me brush her teeth so I hope and pray they don't rot out of her mouth and give me more vet bills.
