What we don't know will many times bite you in the butt...

Well here we are again..... 

Sometimes it seems that no matter what we do; the DUH factor slaps us in the face...  Well today was such a time...

Last week, finally got around to changing out my cell fon...  The AT&T model did not have the  battery available any longer... {there are economic factors at work here}  So had to purchase another... nothing really new here, except the money...

Well now they are Cingular, the best thing since sliced bread...  Of course they try to sell the $169 model, with camera, Internet, games, ect...  But i already have all those, so am a hard sell, just give me the $9.99 model it works fine and last a long time, we hope...   Need the car charger, extra connector fees... Plus tax,  title and other fees; we are Lucky to get out the door for under a hundred dollars....

Since i am electrical engineer, and use the cell fon, [by the way everyone knows that it is really a radio, if you are confused reply or email me for further details] ... While looking at schematics, and drawings i must have an ear piece...  But i already have several at the home office, to use... I think!!  Since this is not my first rodeo, off i go... 

DUH... Should have known better.... even though the three i had were the correct size, and description, alas they do not work...  Some internal rewire {on purpose, why have an ear fon that works like thousands of others??}; so nada....

Well back to the fon store, they have to look under the back desk, in someones closet, maybe under the bed, anyway it took almost forever to locate one... That is what i get for purchasing the cheap fon, i guess....  Now at special discounted pricing of only $29.95, Walmart sells for for less than $10... i get out the door a proud owner of this fine equipment...  Well it works, so....

The DUH factor..  Comes into play, use it while over in South Carolina, this weekend, 20:00 to 02:00 hours at a bank data center...  {Yes these are some of my normal? work hours...}  So far so good,  on the Bright side driving back Sunday morning[ Mothers Day] came up with nice poem for mothers...   I love mothers every where...   Refer to previous blog for the poem...  By the way i am more a prose writer!!   Forgot and left the ear piece in my pants pocket, and DUH....  After going Thur the washer & dryer on Monday it is history.... 

So now must repair, which i did, Lucky i am an electronic genius{sometimes} got it working today...    But as you can see the DUH factor is always there and will bite you in the proverbial butt....    As we were taught " Never snatch defeat from the jaws of victory"  Igmo....
