This is one of the best and most well known trails in the world... We will be hiking it starting tomorrow afternoon...

Life is an adventure, so tomorrow we [one of my sons, Steve, 32} and I will explore another part of it...  The Appalachian Trail....

The Appalachian trail starts in Georgia and ends in Maine... Over two thousand miles long, it offer some of the finest scenery in the world, bare none....  It was developed just after WWI, and has brought thousands of men, women and children, the pleasure of being in the outdoors, as GOD intended...

We will start with some MREs and a tent, camel pak for H2O, a water purifier,  a couple of hiking sticks each,  a couple of ponchos, a change of cloths, and with a minimum of creature features....  The back packs will weigh in at appox. 45 lbs. each...  Of course we have a set of hiking boots, and a sun shield hat....

We have been able to average about 2 MPH { covering about ten miles a day} on  upgrades of between 15 to 40 degrees....  There will needs be rest stops, and necessary stops, plus time for pics...  If you are good we will share some of the pics... 

The big thing on animals is just to leave them alone, as GOD intended...  SO with that we will say see you in a week....   Stay tuned for more details, on the AT adventure....
