Southern Gentlemen are raised to be so.... 

Ever since i was a wee lad, we were taught to look out for the rights of others... Especially the poor, the widows, and the fatherless children...  This was a for most duty in our lives... We were taught to love and care for women...  

It has always been the duty of a southern gentleman to kind and gracious to all people...  If there were people in need then we were to see that they were tended to...

To look to a hero, and example of a true southern gentleman: read the life of Robert E Lee, he was a true example...  One excellent book on this great man is "Call of Duty" By J. Steven Wilkins; Cumberland  House Pubis hing Inc...

Among some of his noted saying are:

"All is bright if you will think its so, All is happy if you make it so."

"You must endeavor to enjoy the pleasure of doing good. That is all that makes life valuable."

"Your riches consist in your children."

"You must be diligent in the instruction of your children, and begin by teaching them the great love of GOD for them."

"Hold yourself above every action. Be strictly honorable in every act, and be not ashamed to do right."

These are just some of the ideal expressed by this man, and part of the code of the souther gentlemen....
