Life is about when and where you do something with your mind... We all should play some brain games to be at our best...

We have all played some brain games in our life;  this is about the different types....We will explore some of the brain games you could or should play...

One of the best that I have found and used is Chess....   Yes the one with the funny pieces, that all move different ways...  Well I learned to play, in the eighth grade, in an alley, on a fold up chess board, after school...  I did pretty well, though I was not a chess wiz...  I really played  seriously during my Navy years, and was able to escape defeat in a Chicago Chess Club, by remembering one of the basic rules; never open with the Queen's pawn, against a Knight... {That is called a Fools Checkmate}  Both the Chess wiz and I were both impressed... 

Then while underway on the ships we would have time to kill, and so we would whip out the chess board...  The last ship I was on we even played tournament chess...  See the movie "Bobby Fisher"....  One of the Sonar gang, was from Texas, and was a chess wiz... Soon we were playing "Blitz Chess" this is where you must make a move within 30 seconds...  It really sharpened you out look on life....

We all should learn to be able to recognize and execute a decision in 30 secs...  This was also  part of our Target Designation drill while in the Navy..  In other words find the target  within 30 seconds, or you were sunk...More on that later in "MY Road of Life" blog...  

Your mind should be engaged all your waking hours....  Constructive reading is another mind drill...  Read new and some what challenging things...  Stuff that would make your mind work, not some dribble, or crotch novel..  The more you expand your mind the better material you have to make those 30 sec. decisions...  

 Believe me I have used it very well, not being in an Auto accident{ Actually a collision} am coming up on fifty years of driving, with over a million miles of windshield time...  Plus there were several other experiences in my short life, which I will expound on in the MRL blog later...  And in my new web site, {almost complete} www.simplytruth.com...  Stay tuned for details, and check it out when you get a chance...  Life goes on and we must life it to the best of our ability.... So get your brain{mind} in order to face tomorrow, friend...  It is your decesion... DUH!!
