We swim through the waters of July until the third week and then blister from Leo's hot breath for a month....towards the end of August we are set up for a whamdoozer of a Full Moon.

                                          JULY/AUGUST HOROSCOPE

As the Chinese say “may we live in interesting times…”  July and August are filled with complexities and a preponderance of certain elements absolutely dominating.  When one takes the eagle’s overview of each month we see a major shift from Watery emotional reactiveness in July to a sometimes out of control blaze of Fire in August.  We move from an introspective almost brooding atmosphere of connecting to the feeling soul of our being…then Leonic forces come along and burst our hearts wide open without a formal warning.  Each New Moon and Full Moon throughout the summer months is armed with squares and oppositions.  The New Moon in Leo on August 12th (take note of this day) forces an inner wake up call.  On this day the Moon, Mercury, Sun, Saturn and Venus all conjunct in Leo while opposing Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius.  Translated?  The ego is molded, enlarged while being honed, and most of all is absolutely “busted” when it attempts to become overriding or delusional about its importance in relation to our Spirit.  The highest manifestation of Leo is pure spiritual connection to our Inner Being.  But for the most part, Leo energies, creative as they may be, fight the inner battle of egoic desire for recognition and affirmation of who they are from the outside world.  Once we ALL make the transition back to the understanding of accessing our own Inner Light, the heart center of Leo becomes our most generous and compelling driving force.  Dates to jot down are as follows:  Cancer New Moon on July 14th, Aquarius Full Moon on July 29th, Leo New Moon on August 12th (the one to really take time out for with regards to setting a new creative tone to your life), and finally a VERY complex Full Moon in Pisces on August 28th.  This final Full Moon is loaded with T Squares and oppositions.  We begin and end our summer with potent abilities to access our inner source of wisdom as never before.  Enjoy!
 
ARIES:  March 21st to April 19th
 
Cancer energies bring forth compelling challenges to the Aries individuals as they square your natal Sun sign. Mercury remains in Cancer throughout most of July helping you to tap into your intuition in new and innovative ways.  During times of squares we are able to make great headway towards inner growth as the planets line up in your solar house of the Inner Being.  Therapy, introspection or simply taking soft quiet times alone will restore Inner peace and the insights could just come flooding through.  August is a month of endless gifts especially at the time of the New Moon on the 12th.  Five planets in Leo bless your creative fires in your solar house of artistic ventures.  Do not let this day go by.  Any new professional choices will be especially ignited at such a time.

GEMINI:  May 21st to June 20th
 
Gemini swimming in the deep Cancerian waters of life…one of the twins relates…the other runs from the overwhelming call for stillness and introspection.  Integration is the key.  A balance between the external and the internal is required.  As these planets transit the solar house of your deepest value systems, Gemini are called to examine their own sense of self worth.  The New Moon on July 14th offers an ideal time to subdue any artifice in your being…sit in stillness and seek your Inner Radiance.  Stop seeking the confirmation of your brilliance or lovability through the external world.  From time immemorial to the present moment all things are ephemeral.  Use the incredible creative force of the Leo New Moon on August 12th to start that new book…or to create that verbal presentation…or to simply enhance and refine your communications in all regards. 
 
CANCER:  June 21st to July 22nd

LEO:  July 23rd to August 22nd

VIRGO:  August 23rd to September 22nd
 
All of the summer presents opportunities for insight and clearing away of the old debris of the pinpointed mind in favor of the broader more expansive experience of life. The New Moon in Leo on the 12th of august prods you towards inner stillness and self understanding in potent and insightful ways.  Try to take a day off if possible at this time to meditate, walk near the water, or simply to listen to gentle music in order to realign and reassess your life.   All leads up to an enormously impactful Full Moon on August 28th.  This Full Moon is wrought with squares and oppositions.  It impacts your solar houses of personality, career, subconscious mind and relationship!  Whew!  But take these strong aspects as opportunities to enlarge your experience of life…to grow and expand beyond present boundaries…
 
LIBRA:    September 23rd to October 22nd
 
All Cancer planets congregate in the professional angle for the first three weeks of July squaring your sun and solar house of personality bringing forth an impetus to recreate the career through focusing on what it is your heart truly desires.  Are you satisfied with the career you have chosen?  Does it reflect your artistic and aesthetic nature?  Think back to the comments or teachings which have impacted the most intense periods of your life.  What did you learn about yourself at that time?  As you realized that your time in a physical body was ephemeral what conclusions did you draw upon which may now help you to exhibit more kindness, more integrity and definitely a greater willingness to forgive others.  In delving into the SELF, the career will automatically reflect back to you what have been the good and “bad” choices…and you will adjust accordingly.
 
SCORPIO:  October 23rd to November 21st
 
After a grueling June existence in which the sun traversed your solar house of Scorpio forcing deep internal cleansing, the move into Cancer feels like a soothing ointment against a wound….old nasty wounds which may have festered for years.  Gemini forced the inner dialogue. Now water flows gently with water and the pressure is off.  However as the Sun rises towards your midheaven and gives you the yearly solar transit (Leo) in the house of career, you must not ignore an incredible opportunity to manifest as never before.  August 12th five planets align in your professional angle pushing your magnetic influence wider and wider.   Spread your wings and visualize creatively impacting not only your own work arena but also creating a positive light filled ripple affect towards all of humanity.     
 
SAGITTARIUS:  November 22nd to December 21st
 
Sagittarians are charging forward headlong into a new life.  Guard against impatience or feeling imposed upon.  We know that freedom is first and foremost on your mind right now however, do remember that the needs of others are giving you a new understanding about compassion and forgiveness.  Look to your spirit, find the child within and focus on joy and radiating joy to others.  Much karma is being expunged right now.  Augusts’ five planets in Leo on the 12th bring forth opportunities for a total transformation.  Move forward steadily and surely.  Success is within reach!
 
CAPRICORN:  December 22nd to January 19th

AQUARIUS:  January 20th to February 18th
 
Co-operation, co-operation, co-operation.  In all personal relationships you are going to feel a desire to break free and run the show or to abandon the show altogether.  Resist such Uranian tendencies and instead allow yourself to develop new empathic listening skills.  Allow your partner to express emotion and simply let go and drop any tendency towards judgment.     Some Aquarians have a slightly depressive nature…often because this sign is a fixed mental sign….in order to combat such tendencies, do regular exercise and if possible take up some form of meditation.     New Horizons will manifest towards the fall…the summer will draw forth introspective tendencies as the month of August wears on…
 
PISCES:  February 19th to March 20th
 
 Pisces is symbolized by the fish swimming in two directions….one wishes to proclaim truth in a rather emphatic way…the other fish swims sweetly through the waters of life with too much of a tendency to absorb all that surrounds him/her.  Strength comes through balance and through choosing healthy periods of time completely alone.      Stop holding up the world oh martyred one and instead create lists of directions which correspond with your dreams and aspirations. Think back…what did you dream to be as a child?  Think on these things and then challenge yourself to go where you have not gone before.  Be playful…..be creative.   The planets support new health and diet regimes in August.  Get moving!
