It takes hours and hours of unaccountable energy to live in a sustainable system with the Earth. The land and house where I live is a good place to see what is being asked.

The easy way to manage our interaction of energy
with the Earth is Pave Paradise and Put Up a Parking Lot.

I need a new Way to look at my energy in and energy out,
especially when it comes to Living on this 1/3 acre
called the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.

On good weather days, people come here, and see
the potential. I live in a jungle, a jungle
located less than a few miles from a 35,000 Institution
called a University.

The Real University of Higher Learning for this day and age
would entail Someone Figuring out how to Truly Manage
a Property like this in Harmony with Mother Earth.

I was mourning a number of people who live here now being
on trips this week. In addition, I the Game Plan looked
like we were going to have a Special Guest, who sublet
a place, but decided not to take up Residence this week.

That's O.K. Dreams change. Priorities shift. Needs are
often in the moment. She is being responsible. She paid
for the most part what she owes on the rent.

Then, Spirit stepped in.

Unexpected Gifts arrived in the form of Tamar, 29 year old
man full of energy.

Yesterday, he helped plant a fig tree that had been waiting,
and waiting
and waiting,
since the Feng Shui Conference of 2005
to get in the ground.

He also helped clear an Old Patch that once had
Job's Tears growing. He laid down a nice layer of the
Rhimax paper; then, we covered it with some other mulch.

He worked so well, that I opened up this morning
to walking the land and seeing lots of other garden
and cleanup projects that needed to be done.

Some of these are Prelims to the Summer Basement Cleanout
that will be a Herculean Task of Decluttering, the Eighth
Wonder of the World: The Great Earth Cleanup begins here.

This Enchanted Garden epitomizes what is happening on the Planet.
We can see much of the growth pattern right here.

Most people can't live together without getting a divorce.
I am living with more than two...numbers more than two.

Back to my point, before taking a nap.

The easy way is to not deal with how much energy it takes
to really live on this Earth in harmony.

Nature created for us a perfect technology.

We have seeds.
We have food that grow from seeds.
We have plants.
We have things called trash that for the most part
are products asking to be recycled back into the land
rather than taken to a landfill.

All this takes energy.

Just walking around with Tamar and looking at what
could be done, how many hours he has, and how much time
I have to invest in this, takes time and energy.

Right now, I haven't any.

Better go lay down, and be grateful
for the Opportunity at hand.
