Program Description (limit 100 words):

Down to Earth Judaism 101
Leslie Goldman Maggid of the Enchanted Garden

This class will empower your personal dreams as you reawaken an intuitive relationship with the primeval forces of growth and cultivate a personal relationship with seeds and plants as teachers and allies. Through earthy ritual and inspired prose and poetry drawn from his book "Rekindling of Faith," Leslie will introduce simple Instructions to repair the world through recognizing that the earth and the soul are soilmates. Growing more Holy Land with earthworms, planting your own havdalah garden, supporting local organic farmers. and enlivening your Shavuot practises through growing your own Barley Omer--these are peacemaking practices to be introduced.

BIO:

Leslie Goldman, Maggid of the Enchanted garden, was given a U.N. Peace
Medal for the work he would do in his life. Committed to
reground Judaism, his work aims to bring the light of understanding
and the cure of forgiveness.

1947 born in East Los Angeles.

1972, graduated Cal State Northridge. Active in college in Anti-war activities,
and response to Kent State.

1972-76- Ghost writer for Dr. Bernard Jensen, elder natural healing arts Elder.

1978, one of last Essene Ministers, ordained by Edmond Bordeax Szekely
Dean, Essene Foundation, 80∂s.

1989-current, Manager and co-owner, Enchanted Garden Intentional Communty, San Diego.

80's- Initiated Closing Ceremonies for the Whole Life Expo's Los Angeles.
worked with Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach in numbers of closing ceremonies and appearances reaching poetry.

1990- Returned to make peace with Jewish roots.

1993, First Kallah, scholarship in part from Rabbi Zalman Schacter Shalomi,
Closing Ceremony, Berkeley Kallah.

2001-2002- introduced organic produce into Thornton Hospital
while undergoing Hip Revisions.

2005-2006 Photographer for Organic Trade
Association fundraiser,

2005 Plant Your Dream Blog begins, 300,000 Page Views now.

in circulation.

Environmental award, San Diego, for bringing locally grown food into
Hilton San Diego Bay Resort.

Opening and Closing Ceremony for International Feng Shui Conference,
San Diego; taught Plant Your Dream and The Seven Love Cures. Created
conference Altar, Enchanted Garden Installation. Organized local
organic farm fresh foods for lunches in co-partnership with Hilton
San Diego Resort

2006 brought locally grown organic strawberries into Whole Foods Market
Hillcrest. Work with Local farmers and Sacred foods. brought out "Rekindling
of Faith" third edition

World Peace Start Up Kit, issued.

Photography to be used by Organic Center, in campaign to raise
organic usage nationaly to 10% by 2010.

2007,

begin reissue of ten books written, beginning with "Rekindling of Faith."
