the inspiration behind
"Prayers to Mend the Heart."

She is excited about my Persian Mulberry
Tree going in.

She is excited about Iranian Cinema
and tells me about the films of this
marvelous director. She recommends
two of his films especially. One is called
Kandehar

She find both these films stunning
and lyrical. She finds them at her local
library.

Lots to say about Joan,,,
this year she will not allow the basil
to be eaten by the snails...

The line,
"Enjoy your Codependency while you still have it"
came from that book.

We have a little reunion ever so often....
and if you ever visit the Enchanted Garden
you will see her tea cups still on the peace tree
west of the garden.

Joan always reads the paper...since the age of 17 she
tells me...but she is inspired to get on the internet.
