Summer Solstice feelings have me all roused up.

just vacuumed a spot
where the bookkeeping stuff
statements for last couple years
are headed.

Desk is clearned off and microfibered.

Mike, the UCSD student
just planted a lemon verbena
and is pulling back some space
weeds, etc.

Hot, but, not too hot,
I am turned on
and having thoughts.

Why is Best Friend such
a turn-on? Tell me...
is it the coming and going
or just that we fit together in some
ways?

I am resolved to accept her as she is.
We have discontuous moments of heat
and in between we do not connect.
That is what is.

I like the sparks.
Writers need them.

Not in a space to make any on it wrong.

The question to be good to myself now
remembering how
and accepting.

Seed pods I see
on the vine
blackberries
some ripe,
some ripening
tiny nectarines on the front porch
tree, Mike is pulling weeds
and asks what kind of fruit it is?

A very turned on day in the garden
for the garden and all who have roots
that go down into the earth.

A natural day to want to connect.
we have memories
of this day that go way back.

Best Friend like me being with
someone else. She Blesses this
and does not want to feel obligated.

Listening to Janis Joplin's greatest Hits
to keep my energy going with this cleanup.

Figures...money numbers on the bed.

Not much into the details...can't find the
head space...just want to put thing where they
belong and pray for the best.

Can't get to into the head on this day
my energies are out in the body.

Out with the Old

Mike is taking a nap
on the massage table in the back.
Michael Pascal
pick in hand is extracting the stump
of the old plum tree
so that when you come by
you may feast on fresh mulberries.
