Thank God--
I am home.
Home Sweet Home.

I am safe.
I am here.

I made it.
I made it up and down
an intense mountain on
brakes going closing and closer
to the floor.

Beautiful views.
Beautiful people.

Pressing against core issues
to be explored in the days to come.

Home...
Time to breathe into
all the wonderful things that need to be done.

Five messages on the answering machine.
I am full up.

Late them wait.

Just make a few safe calls,
and take care of first things first.

Good.
Good to be home.

I have spent many days and weeks
away from home since April 9.
I have nothing pressing drawing me away
for most of May.

I will schedule a poetry reading for around June 11--
in LA. Other than that, I am here and this feels so
very, very good.
