I don't live here, do you? by YourEnchantedGardener .....

Passover-Earth Day Thoughts from Your Enchanted Gardener. Do I and you really live here?

Date:   4/21/2005 10:24:56 PM ( 19 y ago)

This is my Passover/Earth Day "Sermon"
Sounds kinda "preachy," but here it is.

Your Enchanted Gardener,
Leslie

Sitting on the front porch
smelling a fragrant gardenia that decided
to bloom after months of
wishy washy behavior
as if it did not know if it
was coming or going,
looking at tons of untended
plants, many seedlings dead
in my ten day absence up in L.A.,
I have to say, most of us living here
do not live here.

This place I live I call the Enchanted
Garden. I went away from it for ten days.

I stayed away longer than expected.
I called home, asking Anna to water
the little ones. I come home and
most of them are dry and lots dead.

She said it rained a few days ago.
She imagined that was enough.

She said water, but she had no
idea how much. She watered, but
not in sync with growing things.
She was off somewhere else.

How about me?
I live some of the year.
Mainly I live in my condition
that grew out of not living here
on Earth
fully.

What causes these conditions
we name as diseases?

It is not living here, not living in the
Enchanted Garden fully,
not living in the Promised Land fully.

We are given all necessary props
to live
in paradise.
We are given all necessary props
to grow paradise,
but we do not do it.
We are staging some other kind
of outgrowth.

How many seeds do you grow out
beside your own?

You are a master at growing seeds.
You grow them on auto pilot.
Every month if you are a fertile woman
you let some go with blood.

If you are a man you grow seeds.
Just ask any woman about her concerns
that you might growing them inside her
when she does not want them growing there.

How many other seeds
do you remember to grow?

Do you grow any of the millions
upon millions
of seeds that can could grow here
but are blowing away
because you and I haven't a clue
what to do with them?

Who grows your food?

I know who grows some of my food.
Joe,
Dennis,
Christine,
Steve, and more.

Not knowing who is growing your food
is like being intimate with a stranger.
I mean, do you get what I am saying
this pre-Passover and Pre-Earth Day morning?

If the Angel of Death were to come
after you, would you know enough to swab
your house with lambs blood so it would pass?

Where would you get the lamb’s blood?
Where would you get your seeds
so that the Angels of LIfe
would see some plants
and know you live here.

I once had a Rabbi come over.
I grew wheat for him.
He got down on his knees.
He harvested
the seeds with me.

All the words he read in his Holy Books
came alive. He turned into a kid
in a garden.
Subtle meanings came alive for the first
time once his black suit
got down to soil.

Have you any idea what I am saying?

These conditions: We name them
diseases just like Adam once gave names
to the plants.

These conditions
we create come to us
because we do not live here.

These bodies,
they are perfect vehicles for love.
I feed mine gargage and lack of love
and then I wonder why it hurts.

The medics proclaim war on these
conditions that they name.
We in the health fiedl,
take this and that
to put them out
as we would
a fire.

They are here
because we are not.

Whoam I
to speak.
I live here with you
in cyberspace.
it it any wonder mice are
in my house now.
They live here.

Leslie
