Custom bobbleheads are everywhere. You see these cute heads bobbling in cars, shelves, and who knows where else? What makes them a Bobble Head toy and what else is interesting about them?
First of all bobble head toys may also be known by other names such as nodders or wobblers. These toys are all constructed pretty much the same way. They are usually oversized heads which are connected to a body with a spring. So when the figure is touched, the head bobbles and hence the name bobbleheads.
There are probably hundreds if not thousands of different bobble head toys in all kinds of characters and types. Some examples can include:
These toys don't usually cost much but some of them are highly collectible. Some of the early models can fetch a big buck so pay attention to some of them you may find stashed away in the attic. They could be worth a lot of money.
For example an early model was made of Willie Mays and they are now quite rare and therefore can be pretty valuable. And the market is ever changing so the hot collectible of today can be tomorrow's treasure.
Just by browsing several Bobblehead toy sites, I was able to find many interesting characters. Like Dwight Shrute from The Office? Or the ever popular Star Wars characters like Luke Skywalker or Chewbaka.
But whether you collect for fun or profit, custom bobblehead toys are great.
