Thank you Mark and All!

I am Absolutely All-Grateful for Raw Butter!

I have an "I Love Raw Milk" shirt and would like to know if there is an "I love Raw Butter" shirt and if not if these can be made.

I don't think the FDA needs to "Give Americans access to raw butter" because Americans are Lawfully able to access whatever food they want through their natural Right to trade (as distinct from commerce). It is only in commerce that the controversy in this instance can be identified as long as "commerce" is understood to consist of business transactions between two incorporated entities.

If a raw dairy deals directly with an American then that is trade not commerce and therefore not subject to any governmental entity that has jurisdiction over commerce. Both raw dairies and Americans need to get clear about the difference between commerce and trade and how Americans can exercise their freedom of trade as long as they distinguish themselves from corporate entities.

Nevertheless I most certainly wish everyone operating a raw dairy corporation all the very best!

September 25, 2019 - the FDA Found NO Pathogens In Any of About 200 Test Samples at Organic Pastures Dairy!

"Unexpected FDA Testing of RAWMI LISTED Dairy

In late April 2019, the FDA sent a team of inspectors to Organic Pastures Dairy Company (OPDC), which is a RAWMI LISTED Dairy in California. The stated reason for the inspection was twofold:

Assure compliance with a 10-year-old court order which mandated that OPDC not ship raw dairy products over state lines, and
Assure that OPDC (as a processer and food handler) was in compliance with the new FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations.

The inspectors spent four days examining paperwork and swabbing surfaces in the on-farm creamery plant. They tested everything and everywhere: they swabbed under door mats, inside drains, behind doors, behind sinks, and all other surfaces. In total they took about 200 samples, and each was labeled for the location that it was taken. It was a massive search effort to find pathogens.

The team at OPDC had previously attended FDA FSMA training in 2018 and had already written their food safety plan for the FDA. They also had their RAWMI Risk Assessment and Management Plan and years of testing data to back it all up.

A couple weeks after the FDA inspection, OPDC received a report indicating that the FDA had found NO pathogens in any of their tests.

Aggressive Beneficial Cultures -

OPDC credits the environmental conditions inside of their dairy and creamery for the absence of pathogens. Aggressive beneficial cultures from the production of raw kefir, raw cheeses, and cultured butter populate the environment in the creamery, thereby displacing and outcompeting pathogenic bacteria. Thus, the creamery has its own facility biome and strong immune system!

The Presence of Beneficial Bacteria Which Can Outcompete the Pathogens Is Ideal -

In pasteurized dairy plants and creameries, pathogens are a real problem because sterility is the goal. Instead of using a system where beneficial bacteria outcompete pathogens, death to all bacteria is the goal. These attempts at a sterile environment encourage resistant forms of bacteria and pathogens to develop, as they adapt and overcome sanitizers and heat. However, just as is the case within the human gut, the presence of beneficial bacteria which can outcompete the pathogens is ideal. Of course, raw creameries should be clean, but they will also benefit from having beneficial bacteria which help prevent pathogenic bacteria from taking hold in the overall environment."[2]

This report crediting "the environmental conditions inside of the (OPDC) dairy and creamery" is probably the very best news that this raw milk blog-writer/researcher/nutrition-therapy chef-doctor has ever heard in regards to raw milk! He also finds it inspiring as a possible reference for all schools teaching any science class that includes the subject matters of:
raw dairy, Food Safety, pathogens, environmental conditions, pathogenic bacteria, immune system, sterile environment and the like!

Comment posted at the new Organic Pastures Vlog[1]:

My very first intro to raw dairy was in 1978 with the raw kefir from the former raw dairy source called Alta Dena. It was honestly the most wonderful food experience in my 27-year life up to that point. The aliveness of the raw kefir was most well received by my body and turned me on to a higher state of gratitude for life!

Although I haven't had the pleasure of OP's kefir yet I know it's got to be great cause I've already enjoyed their raw milk, cream and butter since 2000 when the products were first being delivered to the stores. I just know that their kefir just has got to be the greatest!

And you can also easily make your own kefir which is what I have done with the milk. You only need some kefir grains and you are set for life cause those grains will multiply! It is the best deal - OP milk and those grains will keep you well! Just don't "contaminate" your kefir with any sugar or you'll compromise the benefits!
