Very uplifting experience at
UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center
yesterday. Met Marisol Bermra, a delightful receptionist. She has her intake desk in the main lobby decorated with positive affirmations and cute bobbly paraphernalia, including a green faced Mickey Mouse for Halliween! I hope he didn’t eat too much white sugar; it breeds Cancer in my research,
Curiously, there was a large Size Coke truck outside the center. I’m sure it will be replaced by an Eden Foods delivery truck as the Goldman/Prince The Enchanted Garden Club takes hold.
A vending machine filled with Patricia Bragg Bragg Live Food Products is also recommended featuring the line of health drinks with ACV. I saw at AIHM Annual Conference in San Diego (#AIHM17) on Kathy Duerr Table, a research paper abstract done at U if Arizona that shows the positive affects of Bragg apple cider vinegar for ailments.
Marisol had pens with flowers in front of her computer. The pens were delightfully colorful and looked like flowers. I gifted her with some dried purple Status flowers from #RodriguezRanch, the sister company of J R Organics CSA Farm.
I have a return engagement at the nearby Uc San Diego-Thornton Hospital this Sat at 2 for an MRI followup on Kidneys and Liver.
I had my Hip Revisions done year in 2001. My stay was highly eventful. I went in one month before surgery. I made friends with the Head Chef. When I came in for my “reservation,” I had a private room. A cot was set up for my guests that I had each night to provide added support.
I will be forever in gratitude to The Healing Hands of Morea Garcia who was with me on day one. In those days, services like Rauni Prittinen King’s #HealingTouch were not yet in the hospital setting. The nurses allowed Morea into ER recovery room where she did Reiki on me.
My blood was intensely low the first night. Morea was on the job supporting the outstanding nurses to uphold my excellent care. Night two was the first of my MD wife contingent. DalyaMiri Ralston, a devoted friend, was with me through a difficult night. Day three Dr Gary Hartman husband of Ellyn Wade Hartman, a nurse at the time, brought me chicken soup. He forgot his traveling container. I use it to this day.
Gary served in Vietnam. He was effected by Monsanto Company Agent Orange. He was a powerful spiritual warrior and devoted father. He died of Cancer. I always carry that thermos on my travels and it reminds me we never travel alone. The night Gary came to visit me while I was in the hospital, no one ever knew a humble MD, who had a labyrinth at home, was my companion.
The fourth night, AriellaShira Lewis was with me. It was the holiday of the Birthday of the Trees, in the Jewish tradition. AriellaShira is also married to an MD. Two of her three kids are also doctors now.
I was walking by then. One time Rebecca Diamond, my dear sweetheart and dance teacher, came to visit. We played with me dancing a few steps. Another Revision, a sweet lover at the time was my companion. I imagine we got in the Guinness book of records for a few of our off the record maneuvers.
I made quite an impression on the hospital staff. I had plenty of organic food to share and flowers. I was doing teaching that kept my spirits high.
My friend Don Cirlin Brought his camera and we did some filming for a production I had in mind called Getting Hip. My #seeddream was that through my getting hip revisions, modern healthcare would get hip to being all I could be. I do not believe that integrative medicine was a classification we used back then.
With Hip revisions, the procedure is to get you moving ASAP. Alison Helm, who now teaches swords at the Taoist Sanctuary of San Diego, and who is the wife of Bill Helm, was my hospital occupational therapist.
When I was wheeled out of the hospital the nurse aid said he had never met anyone like me before. He offered me free room and board to stay on, we joked.
I will be forever grateful to
My surgeon, Dr William Bugbee.
He now works atcScripps Clinic, John R. Anderson V Medical Pavilion,
He appreciated my own health advocacy. I gave him some of my love poems to read to his wife. I was also reading my poems to the nurses from #WordsManNeedToKnowAndWomenWantToHear into the surgery room.
I have a philosophy of life that believes life is eternal and that we reincarnate time after time. I’ve often said how many times can you incarnate as a healer? This lifetime I chose this body to demonstrate an experience healing from the patients point of you.
My health condition my entire life has brought me into close contact with the medical conventional as well as traditional healing arts systems.
I have been trained and guided to be loved and cared for by some of the greatest healer doctors of our time including Dr. Bernard Jensen and Rancho La Puerta Co- founder, Edmond Bordeaux Szekely, husband of Deborah Szekely, who is a many decades-long inspiration of mine.
It is good to remember these things this morning.
I am having some difficulty convincing myself that I will be found Cancer Free when I do my MRI this Saturday.
The blood test from yesterday produced results that I read online this morning:
Above 59 eGRF is considered without Kidney disease. I am now at 60! I was at 15 last June. 17 can mean dialysis.
My Creatinine level in June was 3.26. ..79-1.17 is the norm range. I am now at .91. Is this possible?
I was told I had a 5 cm tumor called a renal cell carcinoma on August 7. Offered a surgery and or potential forms of chemo, I decided instead to go on my six week annual trip to live my Deep purpose two #WinBackAreSacredSeed,
I had a most marvelous journey that included spending two weeks hearing the sounds of the barnyard at the Frey Organic Winery and it’s Biodynamic Farm.
I know I was born In this moment to reframe our fears of Cancer. I got over my fear in about 24 hours,
It’s not easy going into the conventional hospital setting where few can imagine that nature still has the most essential technology for healing body, mind and soul. I am certainly not oblivious to the power and importance of this very important medical system that is here for us when we need it,
Conventional allopathic medicine gives us the opportunity to mend the errors of my ways.
I have hardly begun to scratch the surface of all the natural remedies and procedures I learned and was reminded of through my allegiance to holistic and integrative medicine.
I have so much to offer my allies in integrative medicine. I would like to stand on the podium along side the MDs and the other practitioners now forming into mighty collaborative movement.
I have much to share through my shamanic insights and #EsseneHolisticHealingModel that Dr. Bernard Jensen and so many others helped me remember.
I’m just beginning to serve and remember.
My simple request now is for 144,000 members to join The Enchanted Garden Club.
The Frey land, where I was digging up weeds to clear a pathway during my retreat, burned to the ground for the most part.
The #RedwoodValleyFire happened a few weeks after I left. The fire happened right during the Jewish holiday season when the end of the holy Torah and and then scroll begins again with the reading of the chapter called Genesis,
We are all part of the Friends of Frey Ranch Regenesis.
We are all part of everything good that will rise up.
It was very frightening when I received the diagnosis of cancer on August 7.
I never expected that, just as so many have lost their homes from fire, hurricane, and flood.
I would not be surprised to receive another report from the MRI that indicates I need to do a lot more work to reestablish my own health.
One of my hashtagsnow is #HealthComesToSanDiego.
As Henry David Thoreau once said, Life
Is but a stream I go fishing in.
We are all compelled to go fishing.
