THE WEATHER SMILED ON THE #SDWOMANSMARCH SUPPORTING ITS MESSAGE THAT WOMAN'S RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS

Two of my favorite signs, among many creative outpourings at the #SanDiegoWomansMarch, Saturday, January 21 was one sign that said "Womsn's Rights are Human's Rights" and a second that said "Trust Women."

At one point, in the two hour March through downtown, there was a prolific rainfall that lasted about 15 minutes. The heavy rainfall then stopped. Everyone put their umbrellas away. The March began. It was truly an epic walk through streets 30 or more feet wide that were filled body to body with a positive unifying energy. My own closest companion ship came with the unexpected arrival of one of my dear farmers market friends and her sweetheart. She was wearing a shirt that said love and she was blowing bubbles.

I couldn't help but think of another March out of slavery that happened a number of thousands of years ago when the slaves left Egypt and had to cross miraculously the Red Sea that seems like an impossible obstacle . As much as the body of water simply parted then, on this March the sunshine broke through, to the point where most of us forgot it had rained.

If the deluge that had been happening for a number of days or that will happen again starting later this afternoon had happened during the parade-like March, the comfort zone would have been extraordinarily different for the estimated 30 to 40,000 participants who would break out in chants or loud outpourings of celebrative cheers.

So that's my story, on the #plantyourdreamblog, mother nature loves the creation we call Woman and may those who imagine they hold political power come to respect and revere her awesome creation that even influences the weather by her very walk.

FROM THE SAN DIEGO UNION
SUNDAY, JANUARY 22, 2017

During the 72 hour period ending at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Julian and Lake Cuyamaca had record rainfall of almost 6 inches, and Descanso was at 5.34 inches. Several other communities — Ramona, La Mesa, and Alpine, to name a few — received more than 3 inches.

San Diego International Airport recorded 1.30 inches, pushing its seasonal total to 7.26 inches, which is almost 3 inches above normal. Forecasters say the city could be at nearly 10 inches of rain by Tuesday. That’s the amount that San Diego receives in an entire year.

Wow!!! The woman's march San Diego was incredible!!

January 21, 2017

I've been doing a lot of ceremony work to bring rain since last September and I really feel we have broken the Drought.

We've had two enormous rain storms in the last few days but it's 1 o'clock today Saturday the 21st and as I'm writing this on The Enchanted Garden Mobile's Journey To Win Back Our Sacred Seeds, sitting in the parking lot after a very long walk, the sun is shining!!!

I couldn't possibly guesstimate how many people came, women and men, however, there appeared to be thousands upon thousands. We had beautiful support from the police, and so we were able to walk down fourth Avenue, turn right on Broadway walked another six blocks, then turn right and walked another four blocks, before the March broke up around 12 PM.

So what do you do when there's too much rain? At one point the rain began to pour down, and the sweetest student from nearby SDSU, majoring in public health, shared her umbrella with me. We had a delightfull conversation as the rain poured down. I could see she had a bright future. She told me she wanted to work for the USDA. I told her that I had spoken at organic listening day at the USDA. I had my Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company catalog with me and so I had an opportunity to give her a lesson in seed biodiversity.

Then the March began. I had to run to catch up with her. I gave her one of my Plant Your Dream Packets of seeds. It was the only thing I had with my name on it.

She was so beautiful in and out.
I just didn't want to lose track of her. I hope she friends me. If it wasn't for the sudden burst of rain we would've never gotten to talk. That's what you're supposed to do when there's too much of something or too little of something. We are supposed to cooperate. Get it? Cooperation with nature ends the drought in our lives.

Then after a little bit, my sweetest friend Abby Youngs showed up and we walked about 30 or more minutes together. She was with her sweetheart, and i got to know him a little bit better.

I was looking forward to reading them one of my Seven Love Cures, but then all of a sudden, I was on my own again.

The signs everyone was carrying were very creative. Some were a little anatomically provocative, And I'll just leave those to the imagination.

Lots of signs talking about love!

Lots of families with little kids. It was a totally wholesome atmosphere and I'm filled with memories and good energy that will last a long time.

It was quite a long walk for me, and just around the time as we were heading back toward the start through another route, I was getting a little tired when another caring woman, an elder named Nancy, decided to walk with me a mile or so. By this time we were walking back on the sidewalk. So many lovely people.

I had my mind sort of focused on the physical walk by that time. I realized that even though I had my Seed dream pot with me, I had neglected to plant any dreams. So when I finally got back to my vehicle, the Enchanted Garden Mobile, I stationed myself on the street. By this time everyone was on their way but I could not see leaving the site without planting a few dreams toward the success of the March and it's purpose.

Two lovely women took time to plant Dream Seeds. The second was an elder who came up to me because she recognized me. I also planted seeds with the parking lot attendant.

It will likely be storming again tonight, but mother nature, the mother of all women and men, was very kind to us. The weather and climate supported the March.

I'm so happy to be living on this planet with so many women. We need,as men, to respect the gift, that women and men are here together to learn so much from each other. I have a deep reverence for women.

I'm feeling very fulfilled.

On with the March!
