According to foreign media reports Apple Insider, Sharp is likely to increase the Japanese lens module manufacturer Kantatsu investment in order to win the Apple iPhone orders. Earlier this year, news that Apple provided Kantatsu equipment upgrades, making the latter is expected to get more orders for Apple.

Sharp's director, Tai Jeng-wu, recently said in a letter to employees that the company should integrate its camera module business by investing in manufacturers and buying equipment directly. At present, Sharp has a 44% stake in Kantatsu. ar65127198
