Leverage by way of a mentor

It's been said that "A single conversation with a wise man is better than ten years of study."[1]

I believe that kind of wisdom-rich "conversation" is most largely within your capacity right now and that having a very simple form of communication can support your realization of this.

Over the past eight years I have been mentoring individuals through this unique particular form and supporting their mastery of it.

Serendipities!
Inspired to research about "attitude" after a conversation (read: listening session) with a housemate who was "buzzing" about his insight re: expectations. In my contemplation of this afterword I realized that one can monitor their expectations along a spectrum that could range from no expectation to extremely demanding expectation. Then I realized what is really at core here is the attitude that one has about their expectation and that attitude could possibly carry more "weight" than the expectation itself.

Now I find: "...people can be brought up or down by hanging out with others holding either a positive or a negative attitude. Having an empowering attitude comes with experience and perspective."[2]

This preceding quote is from a Human Design(HDS) analyst and makes me wonder what HDS Centers are involved with one's attitude. According to the basic definition of the word the energetic components can be of several sources: mental, emotional, unconscious. I'm open to exploring these and identifying the potential centers that could be at play in an individual's attitude. Then provide examples of how one individual's attitude interfaces with another individual according to their Design. However, I also wish to offer the simple wisdom of Don Miguel Ruiz from his book "The Four Agreements": Don't Make Assumptions! I can't help but think that expectations could be a land-mine field of assumptions. I think it's unconscious assumptions that "blow up" in an individual's face when their unreasonable expectations don't get met and especially if their attitude was at the extreme high demand end of the spectrum! I have learned this from my own experience.

I have a strong orientation to kitchen organization, maintaining order, cleanliness and more from a lifetime of professional food service experience as well as both my conditioning and my planetary imprint by way of Venus and Mercury in Virgo! My thinking has been set like concrete that has been poured and cured over time. It's also reinforced by way of shared agreements with not only the cooks in the kitchen but anyone who comes into the kitchen. Everyone respects the way the kitchen is organized, maintains it's order and placement of every item and agrees to follow the procedures set in place. My Saturn conjunct my natal Sun thrives on this discipline!

In a home setting with eight other housemates it's a different story! The difference has been really difficult for me to accept. Even after eight years of various efforts on my part the lack of total agreement has been a very significant challenge for me! Finally I decided to set up a separate kitchen that has some inconveniences to it but is organized and clean the way I like it! That has been a real help for me and according to my destiny cards I have to have a space that I have control over. I accept that as part of my design.

Now when I come into the main kitchen of the house I can view it with another perspective/attitude/expectation! I use that kitchen way less than I had been using it before setting up the second kitchen. As a result I have less "attachment"/demands for it than before. With my Libra Sun I like this perspective better as I have to live in harmony with others. This need for harmony is underscored by my Planetary Ruler Card in the Destiny Cards which is the 6 of Hearts: The Peace-Maker Card". If it wasn't for these saving influences I'd have turned the kitchen into some kind of a battle zone! I'm so grateful not to have done that!
