Re-Feeding & Retreat
Date: 9/6/2016 3:56:54 AM ( 8 y ago)
Early eve on the 50th day and I'm truly re-feeding now and have been eating more food over the past 5 days. It was difficult starting, feeling very full from very small amounts and having issues, the runs and a little constipated at times but this seems to be getting much better overall - my excretions are still tiny, but I really emptied out my system so that's to be expected, drinking aloe vera and eating the fruit sauce with psyllium and slippery elm was really good to do - I just made a potato soup today - will eat that this week and am about to make a shepards pie as well - got some beef and some duck pate to help get the iron back in - other than these foods, am going to have a bit of yogurt and kefir and keep on juicing - just having a little evening meal and/or maybe an egg for breakfast etc - this morning was the third time in the last week or so I just had a one egg omelette for breakfast or as a little meal - in sesame oil with a little homeade peach freezer jam and a dash of soy sauce - just by itself, no toast etc...
I'm back home now in the country, got home last night - went to the city for 5 days to break the feeling at the house after that horrible night and see my friends and to do a few jobs there as well - tomorrow morning I'm going to start a retreat - going into silence and proper practice to help my friend who is fighting off cancer atm - so I won't be blogging until the retreat is finished, not sure it could take me anywhere from 5 to 7 or 11 days - I'll just see how I go and feel I'll know when its complete and the mantra commitments are generated etc.
So the house is full of retreat offerings and I'm going to make this shepards pie tonight so I have that and the soup already made and don't have to waste precious retreat time doing much cooking or food prep. Got some fresh tumeric and am going to make a bottle of golden milk with that as well while I'm in the kitchen and try not to turn everything yellow.
Don't want to eat too much now - just keep easing in and building up to that - like the idea of a warming soup or dinner in the eve and sticking mainly to drinks in the daytime and later eve.
Wish me luck in my practice readers - more on the flipside!
