This last quote is where I began to find a magnetic attraction to this site; an attraction so strong it inspired me to start this blog now.

Ever since I was a young boy (as of about age seven, maybe nine or so) I have been attracted to the word of Christ. I have a memory of opening our family's red-letter edition of the Bible and going to the new testament Gospels especially to read the red lettered verses of Christ. I remember reading the Beatitudes: "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God".:

At age 19 I found myself rather desperately seeking Truth in the midst of the last days of "The 60s". (Maybe I can give a "full account" of that journey some day.) I had a most real experience of being "saved" from my state - not that there was anything inherently "deplorable" about my "seeking" but that I was under a belief in the "end of the world" that was playing itself out in my life most excruciatingly! Within a relatively short time I entered a new life with a community of Christians and one of the first attractions was there devotion to "the living, efficacious word" of Christ for which I had the same or most similar "magnetic attraction" for! (That also could deserve a "full account".) Their approach to the scriptures was to "pray read" the word. I immediately took to that with the same attraction as I had as a young boy. My spirit had to have truth and without further delay! I fully embraced the church life because of the love of Truth that was strongly present in the community.
