** " We don't want to Segregate - we want to Integrate! " was the Black - Negro slogan in 1950's... Now in the 2000's we have not seen the integration part happen yet... Why?? **

The Greatest Commandment
Matthew 22:34-40 (NIV)
The Greatest Commandment
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.
35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
** Here is a God inspired question!
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Why has this not learned this yet?
======================================
Racial strife and anger:
Well from history - It appears that most of the Negro- Black or Colored people's have been offered freedom, liberty and opportunity - yet many have failed to change and take advantage of it!
Back in the 1950's I remember that much of the "freedom marches" were based upon -
" We don't want to Segregate - we want to Integrate! " ... But - Never saw the integration part happen yet....
Yet over fifty (50) years later many Black citizens still lean on Government help - which limits their progress and not earning your pwn way is not Blessed by God!
Many - live in the same group racial based housing areas, even public colleges have so " special Black only housing - with Black-Fraternities - Black-Sonorities " - then there is the Black Congressional Caucus, Black Entertainment, Black magazines, Black music, Black Sports groups plus many more separate Black actives - etc..
i.e. Self Segregation rules!
But no Integration - so that original statement was not true!
==============================
Why is this so important since legally the discrimination barriers have been eliminated?
So what happened to " we want to integrate? "
It became a false statement because - It did not happen!.
It seems that - most of the Blacks forgot and became self centered...
For a country to become unified it is necessary that there be a coherence of the populace...
** As with one people under God!
Because when you separate yourself - then you can not expect to become part of any group or Nation in this world!
It does not seem to happen that way... It is necessary that people seek to share and then intermingle with neighbors and associates... While this may not work in every case at least the interaction will tend to help understand and build bridges of support and sharing.
----------------------------------------------
From personal views it appears that much of the "Black" race problems are self inflicted and maintained!
Mainly by the reverse segregation which should have disappeared over the past 50 years...
It appears that much of this is a Self - Segregation from the rest of the mainly non black population! For the country to become totally unified it is necessary to stop the different racial emphasis stressed so many - so often today...
Because it breeds animosity, strife, hatred , fear and unnecessary racial competition...
-----------------------------
** What is needed is for all people to come to love their neighbor - whatever race, color or creed!
The Greatest Commandment: Matt 22:37
And He said to him, "'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'
38 "This is the great and foremost commandment.
39 "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'…
{Have you got it yet??}
** This does not mean that people have to abandon their ethnic background or upbringing....
It does mean that we need to strive to build a more integrated society!
Does any of this make sense to you yet?
