One must be redeemed in order for love to move! When John Newton penned the Hymn : Amazing Grace" :
He was not writing about slavery - rather he was showing how the love or Grace of Almighty God intervened in his life to redeem him from a life of sin! This is actually a story of how he changed through Faith and by accepting the Grace of God - forever changing his life!
Redeemed means purchased for a price! It requires someone to take action to make a situation better than it is or was! It is a settlement of some debt outstanding or an exchange for something of great value! It is actually the pure force of the love of Almighty God in action!
Can you see it or do you understand it yet?

This verse speaks volumes about who you are to have been saved by a Loving God who wants you to follow suit!
Release of Hebrew Servants
14 "You shall furnish him liberally from your flock and from your threshing floor and from your wine vat; you shall give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you.
15 "You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this today.
16 "It shall come about if he says to you, 'I will not go out from you,' because he loves you and your household, since he fares well with you;…

> Can you even start to understand this passage?
While you were a slave {Prisoner or addict} in the land of Egypt {the evil vice ridden sinful world} - The Lord your God Redeemed {saved - purchased - or placed a great value upon}you! Therefore you are commanded or directed to do likewise to those whom God has placed upon your pathway of life!

** Only pure love, moves in this fashion!
This shows beyond a doubt the true Love of God for mankind and how we as fellow humans should treat those whom God has placed upon our pathway of life!
This goes hand in hand with
Matthew: 25:37 - 46
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?
39 ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;
43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’
45 “Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
46 “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
