The end of 2012 was an epic end of the year for me as I entered an emotional stormy existential crisis after watching The Pianist. I was back in college as an "adult learner" which twentysomethings who didn't know who Adolf Eichmann was. Of all the classes I had, my world war two history class was the BEST class of all. It was taught by Dr. Thomas and offered a POV that was different and learned about things like the Bombing of Dresden. Well, I started writing... and writing...I have the first draft of a completed novel about one woman's journey through the Holocaust and a short story also.
My existential crisis extended into every area of my life, most affected was my religion and spirituality. I wanted to ask the deep questions of life. I spent a year away from the Roman Catholic Church and did not celebrate any lifecycle events of any religion at all.
I also decided to put off RN school to explore my religious and spiritual life and also tour Poland and visit Auschwitz-Birkenau (June 2014) and perhaps meet and live with Romani (gypsies) learning Romani magick and fortunetelling which I have an interest. Please watch Johnny Depp's movie The Man Who Cried. It's pretty good.
Right now, I cope with my less than ideal marriage, job situation using buddhist philosophy, I still have a love for Jesus and Mary though I don't attend Sunday mass. My love of meditation, magick has been rekindled and I feel like sharing this with everyone.
I'd say right now... I'm an eclectic solitaire though if I make this post someone somewhere is relating to the concept of exstential crisis.
My 40th trip around the sun is coming. The first third of my life is over. I want my second part to be wonderful.
