Toxins - Pregnant women warned about household chemicals by Karlin .....
Household consumer goods have toxins that harm us.

A new report today, June 5th 2013:
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) says women should be made aware of the sources of chemicals to minimise the possibility of harm during pregnancy.
Women can be exposed to hundreds of chemicals at low levels, through food packaging, household products, over-the-counter medicines and cosmetics, the report says.
It advises women to take care when handling products such as moisturisers, sunscreens and shower gels, as current regulations do not require manufacturers to name all potentially harmful chemicals, when used in low dose, on the product label.
It recommends that pregnant women use fresh food whenever possible by reducing foods in cans/plastic containers, minimise the use of personal care products, avoid paint fumes and pesticides, and only take over-the-counter medicines when necessary.
-------------------More than just pregnant women should be concerned -
Last year [2012 ] the European Environment Agency (EEA) reported that "chemicals in common household products may be behind the huge rise in cancers, diabetes and obesity, falling fertility, and an increased number of neurological development problems"
It has been reported for the past 20 years that household products contain hazardous chemicals, and yet we do not see government health agencies doing anything to protect the publc from these "known hazards".
On the other hand, INDUSTRY folks, those corporate humps paid to mess with our minds so there is doubt about these hazards, continue to use tactics that seem to be working, unfortunately. One thing they said about the Royal Society report today is that "no studies done on people show any harm at all from any of these products or from the chemicals used in them" - sounds pretty assuring, doesn't it? Well, keep in mind that NO STUDIES show harm because there ARE NO STUDIES DONE on people - due to some rule about not testing toxins on humans.
THERE ARE ANIMAL STUDIES showing the harm - they die, they get cancer, their livers and kidneys fail, they are a MESS after being subjected to small amounts of BPA, TBT, and other chemicals found in everyday plastics and 2-4D in EVERY non-organic apple you ever ate, and the 1000s of various chemicals in consumer goods such as sunscreen, cosmetics, and packaging [especially in tin cans of food].
FOOD additives and pesticide residues are all rampant, and in the blood of every one of us.
WE have to try to stop them. This is another reason to yell "down with corporations" and for us to get behind the protests in the streets such as Occupy Wall Street , which may become "Popular Resistance.org".
Democracy is a farce - the will of the people is not being served, only the will of the corporations - and it IS affecting your health, there is no doubt about that.
Monsanto is a primary enemy of people via toxins and GMOs ; DOW chemical is another. The major food processing and consumer goods corporations should be boycotted.
