Columbine survivor Evan Todd released an open letter to President Barack Obama on Wednesday in which he offers a point-by-point analysis of proposed firearms control initiatives, dismissing them as ineffective and dangerous to Americans’ rights.
He recently outlined why he fervently disagrees with the gun control policies that have been proposed in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. TheBlaze interviewed Todd earlier this week and subsequently detailed how his experience being shot back in 1999 has shaped his views on the issue.
The letter, which speaks directly to the president, covers a number of key facets in the gun control debate. On universal background checks, Todd expresses his fears that “universal registration can easily be used for universal confiscation.” Additionally, he says his belief that assault weapons bans are ineffective and argues that the first law did little to stop violence when it was in effect from 1994 until 2004; he cites Columbine as a prime example.
“It was during this time that I personally witnessed two fellow students murder twelve of my classmates and one teacher,” he writes. “The assault weapons ban did not deter these two murderers, nor did the other thirty-something laws that they broke.”
Columbine Survivor Even Todd Rejects Obamas Gun Control Initiatives in Open Letter

Of particular note in the letter is the survivor’s insistence that Obama’s proposed regulations impede the rights of Americans and endanger them by capping magazine sizes and restricting the types of guns that are available to law-abiding citizens.
“Why would you prefer criminals to have the ability to out-gun law-abiding citizens?,” he asks the president in the text. “Whose side are you on?”

Mr. President,
As a student who was shot and wounded during the Columbine massacre, I have a few thoughts on the current gun debate. In regards to your gun control initiatives:
Universal Background Checks
First, a universal background check will have many devastating effects. It will arguably have the opposite impact of what you propose. If adopted, criminals will know that they can not pass a background check legally, so they will resort to other avenues. With the conditions being set by this initiative, it will create a large black market for weapons and will support more criminal activity and funnel additional money into the hands of thugs, criminals, and people who will do harm to American citizens.
Second, universal background checks will create a huge bureaucracy that will cost an enormous amount of tax payers dollars and will straddle us with more debt. We cannot afford it now, let alone create another function of government that will have a huge monthly bill attached to it.
Third, is a universal background check system possible without universal gun registration? If so, please define it for us. Universal registration can easily be used for universal confiscation. I am not at all implying that you, sir, would try such a measure, but we do need to think about our actions through the lens of time.
It is not impossible to think that a tyrant, to the likes of Mao, Castro, Che, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and others, could possibly rise to power in America. It could be five, ten, twenty, or one hundred years from now — but future generations have the natural right to protect themselves from tyrannical government just as much as we currently do. It is safe to assume that this liberty that our forefathers secured has been a thorn in the side of would-be tyrants ever since the Second Amendment was adopted.
Ban on Military-Style Assault Weapons
The evidence is very clear pertaining to the inadequacies of the assault weapons ban. It had little to no effect when it was in place from 1994 until 2004. It was during this time that I personally witnessed two fellow students murder twelve of my classmates and one teacher. The assault weapons ban did not deter these two murderers, nor did the other thirty-something laws that they broke.
Gun ownership is at an all time high. And although tragedies like Columbine and Newtown are exploited by ideologues and special-interest lobbying groups, crime is at an all time low. The people have spoken. Gun store shelves have been emptied. Gun shows are breaking attendance records. Gun manufacturers are sold out and back ordered. Shortages on ammo and firearms are countrywide. The American people have spoken and are telling you that our Second Amendment shall not be infringed.
10-Round Limit for Magazines
Virginia Tech was the site of the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Seung-Hui Cho used two of the smallest caliber hand guns manufactured and a handful of ten round magazines. There are no substantial facts that prove that limited magazines would make any difference at all.
Second, this is just another law that endangers law-abiding citizens. I’ve heard you ask, “why does someone need 30 bullets to kill a deer?”
Let me ask you this: Why would you prefer criminals to have the ability to out-gun law-abiding citizens? Under this policy, criminals will still have their 30-round magazines, but the average American will not. Whose side are you on?
Lastly, when did they government get into the business of regulating “needs?” This is yet another example of government overreaching and straying from its intended purpose.
Selling to Criminals
Mr. President, these are your words: “And finally, Congress needs to help, rather than hinder, law enforcement as it does its job. We should get tougher on people who buy guns with the express purpose of turning around and selling them to criminals. And we should severely punish anybody who helps them do this.”
Why don’t we start with Eric Holder and thoroughly investigate the Fast and Furious program?
Furthermore, the vast majority of these mass murderers bought their weapons legally and jumped through all the hoops — because they were determined to murder. Adding more hoops and red tape will not stop these types of people. It doesn’t now — so what makes you think it will in the future? Criminals who cannot buy guns legally just resort to the black market.
Criminals and murderers will always find a way.
Critical Examination
Mr. President, in theory, your initiatives and proposals sound warm and fuzzy — but in reality they are far from what we need. Your initiatives seem to punish law-abiding American citizens and enable the murderers, thugs, and other lowlifes who wish to do harm to others.
Let me be clear: These ideas are the worst possible initiatives if you seriously care about saving lives and also upholding your oath of office. There is no dictate, law, or regulation that will stop bad things from happening — and you know that. Yet you continue to push the rhetoric. Why?
You said, “If we can save just one person it is worth it.” Well here are a few ideas that will save more that one individual:
First, forget all of your current initiatives and 23 purposed executive orders. They will do nothing more than impede law-abiding citizens and breach the intent of the Constitution. Each initiative steals freedom, grants more power to an already-overreaching government, and empowers and enables criminals to run amok.
Second, press Congress to repeal the “Gun Free Zone Act.” Don’t allow America’s teachers and students to be endangered one-day more. These parents and teachers have the natural right to defend themselves and not be looked at as criminals. There is no reason teachers must disarm themselves to perform their jobs. There is also no reason a parent or volunteer should be disarmed when they cross the school line.
This is your chance to correct history and restore liberty. This simple act of restoring freedom will deter would-be murderers and for those who try, they will be met with resistance.
Mr. President, do the right thing, restore freedom, and save lives. Show the American people that you stand with them and not with thugs and criminals.
Respectfully,
Severely Concerned Citizen, Evan M. Todd

Does anyone remember Proabition – it was Congress that created that monster. Thugs like Al Capone got rich. Police and politicians got rich taking bribes to turn their heads and look the other way, Police chiefs got rewards to inform if a raid was to take place. If the bill by Boxer goes through we will have a whole new lawless enterprise develope. Guns will be bootlegged in from Canada and Mexico like booze was during proabition. Guns will come in shipping containers like drugs do now.

You mean Feinstein? Not that it matters either way.

AR-15 = .223 / 5.56, AR-10 = .308
Besides, I’m pretty sure only the SWAT team has access to them predominantly, and in the case of the .308, it’s probably a Remington R-700 or similar.
But don’t quote me.

a 308 or any largeer/longer rifle caliber is refered to as an ar10 because they take a larger lower receiver to handle the magazine for those rounds.

AR15 is a general term for rifles that resemble the M16.todays Ar’s come in a wide variety of calibres, from .22 to .450 thumper to the .50 Beowulf, the only calibre with a different model name, is the AR10 which is the 7.62×51//.308 calibre. Cook it all down, and an AR is still, an AR,which in reality, arent all made by Armalite….. And by the way, the AR designation means “Armalite Rifle” NOT automatic rifle, like those on the left clain………..

You’re right. It won’t do any good. They are using this fallible reasoning to take all guns away so they can become dictators. They are using fear to destroy the US. FDR says it best, “There is nothing to fear but fear itself.” I remember Karl Marx saying that you can get people to do what you want in a crisis.

Turkey13, I had never thought of this the way you describe it. I am a Christian and just absolutely hate what booze does to good people. But now, as it was back in prohibition days, we need to be getting to the people of this country not the tools used. It made no sense to ban booze then and it makes no sense to ban guns now. Obama knows this but I can’t figure out if he is just doing this to satisfy his base or if he is purposely doing it to expose us to people like Hitler down the road. Read about the republic and it’s leaders that was in power before Hitler if you want to know where I’m coming from.

AR15 is a 223/5.56 caliber rifle in its original form, AR10 is a 308/7.62 caliber rifle like wise. “Some” Police are certified to carry an AR15 but not all. Any police carrying an AR10 would be SWAT or a very rare case in some unheard of town. And for the love of god it is not an ASSAULT RIFLE so please stop using that damn phrase. It is just a semi automatic rifle. The AR stands for Armalite (the original manufacturer) Rifle (what it is).

No they do not! I am glad you are for our 2nd ammendment but c’mon do your research, the most widley used assault rifles for police enforcement agencies is the Ruger Mini-14, if they carry one at all. They typically also carry a 12guage shotgun in their cars have a Baretta 9mm or .45 caliber at their side and the 45 is actually pushing out the 9mm because if its accuracy and many other benefits compared to a 9mm.
Sources: Associates in Criminal Law , and in the proccess of becoming a uniformed police officer for the Boise Police Dept..
And so you know if you want a good standing Rifle for an overall better rating for many uses do what I dhid and research the AR-15 vs. the Ruger Mini-14 Tactical(Shoots .223 and 5.56) The AR is a very sweet rifle but I can shoot me Mini with water draining outof it with nho jamming or misfires, I can burry it for 10years and pull it out put bullets in it and 90% of the time shoot it. AND most importantly IMO it can be used as a Defense weapon and a GREAAT hunting rife, especially withh it shhooting .223 rounds. Do your research everyone get a mini they are overall a better rifle for many uses . Also I have a Norinco SKS for protection, a 7mm sniper for hunting and long distance protection iof needed. a .45 calier a conceiled carry permit and a 12 guage. My wife has a concieled carry as well and has .38 on her side at all times. And I will always uphold my 2nd ammendment and protectmy family neighborsand fellow americans with my”scary” r

The prefered “.308 sniper rifle” for the police is an M-14 not that carbine Mini-14. I prefer my Armalite made AR-10 because after firing an M-16A2 for a couple decades I am familiar and comfortable with the iron sight system. Mini-14 is an ok rifle for close in shooting but just like a pistol round should at least start with a “4″ for stopping power I prefer the nothing lower than 7.62X39/51 to stop someone with a rifle! .223/5.56 is a casualty round and the 7.62X39 or 7.62X51 are stopping rounds!! This is why short of the .50 cal the .308/7.62X51 is the prefered round by snipers! Of course, whatever weapon you do choose you SHOULD have an extensive knowledge on how to operate it effectively to include CLEANING it! :) Semper Fi folks I will get off my soap box now…..

This is how screwed up we are: The SAME SAUDIS who have been funding every Mosque built in the USA to date (over 2000 of them) are able to purchase (from an American Company) our DRONES and the technology that goes with them. The Saudis (using our OIL money – the main reason to be energy Independent…to stop paying the very people who want to kill us) … as announced yesterday… are now able to buy Drones (20 is their first order) from an American Company WITHOUT the approval of CONGRESS. They are using the flimsy excuse that they will “keep watchful eye” over Iran. SO… Our defense weapons being sold to our enemies without the approval of Congress.
THERE IS NO PROTECTION for AMERICA. Obama has made sure that his Muslims get everything they need. THIS GOES FOR HILLARY (the worst SofS we’ve ever had) and that dope Brennan who calls Jerusalem by the offensive Muslim Name. Muslims want to kill us all. Saudis are funding their set-up plans in USA (note that these (largest of) Mosques are set at strategic places across USA map. Murfreesboro TN ?! just wanna throw out my $.02.
most police department im aware of (its different all over the country) carry .40 cal pistols and a remington 870 in the car. if they are lucky and can afford to they have an AR15 chambered in .223/5.56. i have seen a few carrying mini 14′s. either way what i have seen is they are using .223/5.56.
both the 5.56 and the 7.62 rounds can kill and not just wound. its about placement of the round. a cop also has to worry about over penetration of the round. even with a slug from their shotgun.
that being said i am a vet, carried a m249 and a m4 through the desert, and for my protection we have ak47s. i also love my 1911 over my 9mm and for my shotgun choice i have my saiga. i follow the addage bigger is better.
please remember most of what officers carry is dependant on budget and policy. no officer preference. and not on what the best tool for the job is. and there is no standart across the country for what cops carry.
just my $.02, take it as you will.

Why do you think facts, history, reality have anything to do with gun control? In order to be a dictator you must take away all guns from its people.
The first thing the government needs right now is gun registration.
Once they have registration they can go one home at a time taking guns using current laws. You really think that the Police or government will not find drugs in your home? They just need to know how many guns are there and how much they are worth.

But citizens will not be able to raid the gun store of dear leader gets his way, because the gun store will not exist. You’ll be on your own and your governments first responsibility is to protect its citizens which it is doing a poor job of. How many lives have been cut short because of government regulations to our 2nd A rights? Tens of thousands! We get chalked marked and everyone says what a shame. Look at the kids getting killed in Chicago. If citizens in this country had the mocky they once did, they would root out these thugs and hang em high, but instead, government sits back and says its beyond our control, but what we can do is take everyones guns and then those remaining we’ll see about…yea right. Government is not going to let itself be put our of the security business by actually solving the problems with the criminal elements in this country.

@barackinsane:
Owning both an AR and a Mini-14 I will confidently say you’re totally full of it.
Is the Mini accurate? Yes. Great firing system adapted from the M-14 and M1 Garande? Yes. As accurate and reliable as the AR? No.
There is a reason that they sell barrel stabilizers for the the Mini, because the Mini as a long, thin barrel that is not really braced by anything, hence it tends to flex as the weapon heats up after repeated firing.
You can bury it for 10 years then dig it up and fire it? Good luck. If it’s not a desert environment the gun will be rusted to the point of being inoperable. If it does chamber a round, firing it is as dangerous to the operator as it is to the target. With water draining out of it? Guess what… the AR does the same thing.
Regardless of what YOU think, this thing is NOT an AK or an SKS (got one of both of those too). It’s a light weapon with minimal reinforcement on the barrel, it’s a good gun for hunting, but that’s where it stops.
If you want a gun, it should meet 5 requirements. 1) accurate enough 2) good effect on target 3) ammo available 4) you can actually use it 5) you can afford it. After that it’s all personal preference.
Also, cops regularly carry AR’s in any jurisdiction I’ve lived in the US, which includes multiple counties in 5 states. I’ve also seen them packing UMP-45′s in full auto configuration at MIA. (Source, my eyes).

Why is it that everyone loves that the conservatives of this country have had to fight for their rights of religious Freedom here in the US, but Jerry Springer is still on the air and making millions and millions off of the Stupid and non Christians??
Why is it that the one gun running criminal in this country “Eric Holder” is still a free man, while the rest of us TAX PAYERS suffer under Obama’s wrath?
Why is it that professors in college ask for a 13% raise and a Tax increase to “We the People”, but its no right of any female in my life to carry a gun on campus for the protection against Rape.

You need to learn something about guns before you make ignorant comments. An AR-15 is not in 308 caliber it is in 223 caliber. The 308 caliber would be an AR-10 platform. They both have NATO equivalent rounds. You do the rest of the research yourself so you can learn something before stating false information in the future.

While Columbine survivor Evan Todd waits for Obama to fire-up his blackberry and get the text for his teleprompter, be advised that Barack Hussein Obama ( AKA Barry Obama, AKA Barry Soetoro, with Kenyan birth certificate and a 1977 Connecticut social security number) is a puppet in the 100 year old Progressive(communist) plan to overthrow America from the inside that involves almost ALL of Washington DC and co-conspirators in high places of State governments across the U.S.A.:

@Independent4233 Obama took a page right out of his dad’s paper on socialism in Africa….change that he wants to make won’t come easy, sometimes you need to force people to change. All Socialists become Fascists when they realize the only way to get the utopia they dream of is to force people to change.

I remember that. I think it was in Hollywood, Ca. The gun dealer down the street handed the cops AR-15′s and ammo to defend themselves. He could have been within his rights to say: “Gentlemen, because of existing regulations, I’m gonna have to have you fill out these forms. And there will be a seven day waiting period.”

Actually, most police agencies in large cities have the M-16 or a submachine gun like the mp-5. The AR-15, being semi-automatic, is far less effective than the M-16 or similar military weapon.
Smaller cities’ police departments usually have pistols, shotguns, and a handful of rifles.

What the author of this letter to the president needs to understand is that the goal of banning guns has nothing to do with public safety. Its about government control. Obama is wanting to ban guns to grow government and give them “Ultimate Control”
Obama could could care less what this person has to say. Obama was just looking for an excuse to gut the 2nd amendment and Newtown was the perfect scapegoat and he is trying to gut the 2nd amendment without amending it which is blatant “HIGH TREASON”

You are absolutely correct. They are ignoring their own Government stats on gun violence and think we are just going to say…well the POTUS say’s guns are bad…better get rid of my guns. Obama knows this legislation if past will not work and that is what he is banking on. When he see’s that most American’s will not comply he then can impose martial law and take our lawfully owned guns.

The problem with your argument? No one is trying to “ban guns”. You either know this, and are bending the truth to score a point (like that dumb broad whose been making the rounds of the news shows lately talking about times when women have used guns to defend themselves, before being forced to admit that none of the women she uses in her stories used assault rifles), or are too stupid to actually found out the truth. neither would surprsie me.

@vanceuppercut–No one is trying to “ban guns”? What planet are you on? That’s what Feinstein’s bill does–it BANS over 100 specific guns. No, it doesn’t BAN ALL GUNS; no one is saying that. Yet.
But Feinstein has already said (in 1995, I think it was) that if it were up to her, she would get rid of ALL guns. If you don’t believe Dems are more inclined to BAN ALL GUNS, then you don’t listen very well.
Like the ad says, “Gun control” isn’t about guns; it’s about control. And if there’s anything Obama strives for in every way, it’s CONTROL. Control our energy use and production, control our wages and salaries, control our business practices, control our schools, control our politics. You and I must decrease, and he–and government–must increase. That’s the Master Plan. Don’t listen so much to what he says; watch what he DOES. It’s all about CONTROL. CONTROL. CONTROL.

You’re technically right. No woman (at least as reported) has used a selective fire [machine gun], military issue rifle to defend her home or children…
Probably because these weapons are tightly controlled, cost tens of thousands of dollars and will (in most jurisdictions) be taken and destroyed by police if they are used to take human life, even in self defense.
But my neighbor chased off home invaders with a Mini-14 without firing a shot… her husband was so impressed he bought her a FiveseveN pistol!

Frank is correct.
You see, Obama and his goons KNOW that most crime is committed by blacks and many times white people are the victims. These cretins hate the snowman. They don’t like it when the snowman, and others are able to defend themselves against this demographic. So, they don’t give a rat’s ass about the need for self defense. They loathe the concept of it. Because, along with it, is the capability to resist govt tyranny. So yes, it is all about CONTROL. They want to do whatever they desire without resistance. There will come a time when the folks have had enough. Then there will be blood in the streets. And politicians will be the number one targets of patriots. They and those that surround and protect them will suffer a terrible fate for what they have done to our country. When men have to leave their families to fight tyranny, they are not happy about it. With many vowing to go ” all the way”. A “one way ticket”. Operators know what I am talking about.

Your comments are nearly identical to my thinking and intent to comment as I read this sentence: ” (Mr. Obama) This is your chance to correct history and restore liberty”. What the writer and victim clearly knows but is unwilling to accuse, is that Obama doesn’t want us to have liberty. His entire intent and those in the DNC, is for guns to be confiscated so that we can be more like Europe, and he can have free reign over the unarmed population, Sadly, I think he will do it in the near future if Congress doesn’t get its act together. Congress has become completely irrelevant and incapable of stopping Obama. Are there not a handful of Democrats left that haven’t fallen off the progressive cliff? My God, JFK would be considered a Tea Party president in the current democratic party. I don’t think there is any stopping him.

Nice letter but a waste of time. Obama doesn’t care about saving any American lives. He will do what he always does and pander to those who elect Democrats. Look at the Border issue. Extremely dangerous criminals are aloud to freely come into the US, endanger the citizenry and for what? Just so the Dems have a few more votes. Note: I am not referring to all illegals just the drug gang, sex slave, assassin types. I now live in a safe area of AZ but a stretch of road I used to take all the time (Hwy 8) is now considered to be the most dangerous place in the Country. Good going Obama and ilk. If you happen to have the misfortune of your car breaking down there you are likely to be murdered for whatever possessions you may have on you or kidnapped and held for ransom. This is not some bad neighborhood that you shouldn’t be driving in but a beautiful stretch of highway in the open desert.

Yup your right, exactly how outrageous is it to have a highway some distance north of the border, in places maybe near 60 or so miles north, and at other places pretty close, but anyway in my opinion we are letting an enemy occupy our country and were letting this happen because????
As a former Marine/Vietnam vet I think that area would be excellent training grounds for our guys heading overseas. Anything threatening our citizens needs to be eliminated. Posse Camatatos (spelled wrong I’m sure) is military on the border but up inside should be target practice for us not them…I am saying shooting Mexicans is wrong, but shooting/arresting armed criminals with the intent to harm innocent civilians should be a duty of our police and if they can’t do it then some assistance from the military would be in order. We should not be told we cannot go anyplace inside these borders, if we are being told its for our own safety but that risk must be eliminated ASAP. We are being held hostage withing our own borders, its outrageous…

You’re dreaming, Gig. The patriots posting here will not take up arms and remove this outlaw government. We will wait watch and rationalize our descent into Communist slavery. Why do I think this? There is one way to stem this Nation’s descent and oust the traitors that run it – STOP PAYING TAXES! Don’t file this April. Starve the beast. But, when I suggest this course to my friends and fellow “Patriots”, they all recoil in fear at the long arm of the IRS. If you’re not willing to do something so simple as to refuse to take part in this anymore by not filing your return, then you’re sure as hell not going to take up arms in the defense of Liberty. The key is numbers – they can’t jail us all; and besides, they won’t have the money. The time for printing money is about at an end. Then all hell breaks loose. Good luck to us all
cosette
Posted on February 20, 2013 at 2:06pm
@Bobrsta…. What difference does it make if you file your tax return or not when most Americans have their taxes withheld by their employers. The federal government collects your taxes throughout the year. If you fail to file your return and have a refund due, you’re only punishing yourself. I don’t understand your train of thought, unless you have more to say.
bobrsta
Posted on February 20, 2013 at 5:07pm
A Cosette – I’m self employed and think that a lot of people are. Those that aren’t and have taxes withheld, I would hope, have their W2 deductions such that they don’t have more taken out than needed. Anybody using the federal gov’t as a savings deposit is nuts. So, if they owe a few more dollars, they wouldn’t be hurt to follow the course I outline. Point is, I was replying to Gig’s comment (and more like it, by extension) about the “Patriots” riding in to save the day, so to speak. I do not mean to disparage the millions of patriotic Americans that understand how far we have come from the principles upon which this Nation was founded, but I simply do not see the mass of us rising up against this tyrannical government guns in hand. The Revolutionary War was fought over far less government oppression than we now endure.
cosette
Posted on February 21, 2013 at 9:06am
@Bobrsta…. I think your idea is a good one but we both know that it would be impossible to implement. To begin with, even among the tea party, most people would be too afraid to go along with it due to the fear factor re; the IRS, and having all you own confiscated and possibly face prison. I know what you’re thinking , the founders sacrificed a hell of a lot more and they were successful. Keep in mind the nation was much smaller both in population and land mass and was much easier to organize plus most people had little or nothing to loose and many were still Loyalists. Not to mention most people are too apathetic although they bitch and moan about the path we are on and why. As much as I’d love to see your solution tried, I am realistic enough to know it would never happen unless we reached a point where we had only our lives and nothing else to loose i.e. those being dragged off to the concentration camps during WW!!.

This is about his plan to move people away from rural areas, gas prices, lawlessness, and unmaintained roads, that’s the road map to relocation of the US population, not FEMA trains…. The long range goal is to make the sub-urban country uninhabitable to the middle class and force people to work in specific industrial zones, that makes it much easier to track tax and verify what you are doing and who you are, and if they need to change your mind for you. Watch the next thing will be an attack on homeschooling using Child protective services and the Federalized Family courts, it’s hard to create good socialists when you can’t start brainwashing them with, liberal, gay, anti-american/ globalist, atheist, socialist views. I feel sorry for the gays they are just pawns in the war against Christianity, family, and capitalism. Very good! However, they had fair warning about what would happen when Prohibition was being discussed, but they went forward with it anyway. The difference between Prohibition and today’s gun control debate is that Prohibition was actually the legal way that due process was achieved–that is they held a Constitutional convention and added the new Amendment. Their is absolutely no such talk of going through the Amendment process here, on something as important as the 2nd Amendment to the Bill of Rights. By the way, do you know that their are still many people today (mainly feminist womens studies majors) who believe in their own minds that Prohibition was a great idea and that it was actually good for the country. Oh yeah, I’ve listened to them at the university. It is hard to imagine these people who believe Prohibition was the greatest Amendment ever passed actually still exist today.

Moreover, these radical feminist women’s studies majors blamed alcohol for the reason why some women were oppressed and abused, much the same today as the gun being the culprit versus the human being who committed the crime.

I am not at all implying that you, sir, would try such a measure, but we do need to think about our actions through the lens of time.

Obama, March 2006, on the floor of Congress
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.
Increasing America ‘s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, “the buck stop s here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

And if you’ve ever wondered about what these two boys thought of the gun laws at the time, just listen or read the transcripts of their infamous “basement tapes” all over the internet. They would laugh at your stupidity. Though these two individuals were sick in the head, they were not stupid by any means, In fact they were both very high in IQ. Surely ,much higher than you. There are other criminals out there with high intelligence and and evil mind and they would stomp you out and laugh at your stupid gun laws while simultaneously blowing off your head as an easy unarmed target. They would even engage you in conversation while reloading the double barrels in preparation to kill you next like Dylan did.
