"A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters think the federal government today has the consent of the governed. Sixty-nine percent (69%) believe the government does not have that consent. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided.":

This may be due to a number of facts such as "Only United States laws, which shall accomplish the purpose of the Constitution, are superior to State laws. In fact, if the law cannot be justified by the Constitution, it is no law at all – this is part of the reason everyone in government, federal, state and local, is required to swear an oath, or affirm, to the Constitution. The only time anyone has to go to court in opposition to an un-Constitutional law is when it acts directly on him; otherwise, he can feel free to ignore it.":

Another fact is that every American is born with Rights and according to the wisdom of our American fathers (and as history continually teaches us) we absolutely must reserve our Rights at every instance that we have contact with government.
A friend wrote me expressing concern as to making the most simple of reservations such as "All Rights reserved" above his signature and whether that would effect his friendship- building with the government employee and I responded:
"The reservation of your Rights ... does not in any way impinge upon whatever "friendship" you have or want to have with municipal employees.
I am addressing another sphere that has nothing to do with the social sphere and everything to do with the Rights sphere. You can do as you please in your own social sphere but there is a need here for this simple yet powerful, statement for the sake of our shared Rights sphere. Please give this your very best consideration. There is no need to "worry" about "making friends" as it is not a personal act. However, if "friendship" is conditional as to whether or not you reserve your God-given Rights then what kind of "friendship" is that?
What I have suggested is the most simple way of saying that you are a real American flesh and blood man (as a opposed to a "person" - a legal fiction) who loves the freedom that you are born with and all the Rights that have been hard won for you that not only include the "Bill of Rights" but every expression of freedom and the "self-evident truths" indicated in the Declaration of Independence through the remaining three Organic Laws that are our present day pillars of freedom!
God Bless you through all your God-given Rights as well as your personal friendships!"
