The way to find your true self is by recklessness and freedom. - Brenda Ueland

Although I haven't been writing daily, I'm still going full steam ahead, and still losing weight :)
For two days my weight stalled, and even went up 0.2 lb, despite a liver cleanse on Saturday night, and Bikram yoga on Sunday.. so yesterday, Monday, I fasted on water only all day, and again, went to yoga.. this morning, a loss of 2.2 lb from before.. FANTASTIC! :)
I had been eating cheese and salad, that's why my weight had stalled. If you eat plain protein, there's really no two ways about it; your weight goes down.
Anyway. A day's fasting like that gets the ball rolling swiftly again!
So.. now at 144.2. Once upon a time (not so long ago) (we're talking one year) that was a huge weight for me - now I'm happy about it!?!? You gotta deal with where you are, I suppose. And from 144 it's only a couple of steps to 140, and then, into the 130's... and THAT is where I'm really looking forward to being! Reading Julia Cameron's "Artist's Way" series at the moment, and her words are really helping me in terms of perspective. Besides, I am an artist, and this body-work is really part of my work; my job; my life.
I'll prob be in the 130's when I go off traveling during August, and that's fine. When I come back I'll more than likely start again, and get down to what I used to weigh, which is 123 lb.
This morning I met my doc, and came up with a plan to come off the protein-only and the coffee enemas.. I'm gonna book in with him in a week or two, properly - say a fortnight before I go away - and he said he'll probably put me on a plain (organic) millet diet as a transition back to mixed eating.
That'll be cool, cause i happen to love millet, and whereas I've done this protein-only thing a good few times now, I've never done millet-only before. My then-boyfriend did it last year, but lost weight so quickly on it that he was advised to stop after a week. He's of a totally different body-build to me, though - he basically couldn't put on weight if he wanted to. Very thin, by nature. The doc said it's cause there was tuberculosis in his family, going back a few generations - that he has a weakened constitution. Although he looks beautiful - he is tall and has a very generous head of long-ish blonde hair; full of volume - and his thinness certainly adds to his good looks. He wears good clothes very well.
Wow, I'm really typing away here!!! Prob cause I haven't eaten since the day before yesterday. The energy it gives me is really amazing. - Although.. i had insomnia last night........ didn't sleep til two thirty am. My doc would say (as does Bikram Choudhury of Bikram yoga) that it's great, it's "all the extra amazing energy you now have to do what you enjoy!!"..... to be honest, I miss a good, full, long night's sleep.
I'll have to try properly to adjust my body-clock so that I'm sleeping from say 11pm, and rising at say 5am. That would be really great.
Bye for now! Peace and Love to all you fellow health-seekers!
