I woke up May 7, very early in the morning with many healing thoughts regarding living at home. Sanda and Brian Everette, co-owners of the land where I live, came down from the San Mateo EcoVillage. Yesterday was a powerful day of community building, and a range of emotions watching Brian work at times too alone to fix the hole in the porch. My premise is that through this act of fixing the hole in the porch, we are fixing and repairing the whole in the world. I know we can turn the experiences of making enemies around through collaborative activity. Although Brian worked alone at times, we as a whole community each did what we were good at. We had too marvelous meals together, and Malaki and Amy came over in the evening. Brian did get help. I just sense there could have been a bit more from the community outside here as a whole if they had known that work was happening on Saturday as well as Sunday, Mother's Day. I spent a bit of the day, after a Shabbat nap, going through one of my Iphoto Libraries. I came upon this old series of photos of my spiritual father, Dr. Bernard Jensen. I will keep you post on how the rest of the weekend goes....sending love and thanks. There is more to tell.
