ALSO, call your community planning group chair and let him/her know you support their vote to support the easing of community garden permit rules.

Check out the full announcement for details about the meeting, the rally and carpooling pre-gathering at IRC, and a fuller explanation of why we need YOU to be at the CPC Tuesday night!

The City of San Diego is proposing to significantly streamline the community garden permit process by making it a free, automatically-approved permit in all commercial and residential zones. The Community Planners Committee (CPC) will discuss and vote on this proposed change on March 22. The CPC is a committee of all the chairpersons of the neighborhood planning groups and advises the City Council on various planning issues and community concerns. Gaining the CPC’s support of this proposed change is the greatest hurdle ahead of us. By showing up and demonstrating your support, we can remind the CPC who it represents and our collective desire for more community gardens in San Diego. Please join us! We’re aiming to fill up the room with 150 people! SPREAD THE WORD!

Hope to see you there!
