"It's common to say that trees come from seeds. But how can
a tiny seed create a huge tree? Seeds do not contain the
resources needed to grow a tree. These must come from
the medium or environment within which the tree grows.
But the seed does provide something that is crucial: a place
where the whole of the tree starts to form. As resources
such as water and nutrients are drawn in, the seed organizes
the process that generates growth. In a sense, the seed is
a gateway through which the future possibility of the living
tree emerges."
Peter M. Senge
I had a total immersion experience of being seed consciousness. In that consciousness I saw a grassy field growing from the ground up and people walking through me as that field!
Years later I saw a store called the New Seed and it was profound just to see something in the world that could remind me of my immersion. I was also impressed with the scriptures that read: "except a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die it abides alone but if it die it brings forth much fruit."
9-15-11: Also in the scriptures is "The Parable of The Sower" and that includes "the seed". In this parable there is also mention of the different physical and metaphysical "environments" and the range of growth (including no growth) that is possible in those environments. The point is that "the seed" is not everything that it may be imagined to be. I say this today in response to a certain kind of magical thinking or "enchantment" that I have seen practiced under the banner of "plant your dream" whereby the simple planting of a seed in a pot with soil is advocated as the way to "grow a whole new world"! That imagination may be suitable for a young child (before their ninth year) however there is a big world of difference between that picture of the seed and the truth about all the relationships that the seed is wholly dependent upon with it's environment!
Relationships is the real realm of life and therefore that is where the great challenges of life stem from. I believe that more emphasis needs to be placed on cultivating the right "environments", and that includes relationships, for whatever it is we are wanting to grow, from plants to people to communities. It is all about relationships! And relationships are all about communication. And that is why it is said: "Communications Equal Life"! Everything in life communicates! Therefore knowing how to communicate authentically will 'equal" an authentic life! In contrast - incomplete communications will "equal" an incomplete life!
Seeds can be likened unto microbes in that their terrain is the source of their life! See: "The Terrain is Everything" By Susan Stockton:

One example of the truth of this.
I have seen this dynamic early on in my study of Biodynamic agriculture where environment and all the relationships within and around that environment are taken into consideration. If environment and all the relationships did not matter then all one would need to grow Biodynamic foods would be the seeds! (Has anyone ever thought of such a thing?) The notion that it's all about the seed could only come from a magical kind of thinking! It may make for a strange kind of fairy tale (like "Jack and the Beanstalk" a story about a magic bean) but it simply does not "grow a whole new world"! (In fact seeds need "outside"/environmental help just to sprout!) Unless the whole environment is included (and all the relations to that environment) then the "dream" of a whole new world will not be realized! After all, doesn't "a world" include a realm of ones that live in that world? Therefore there is no Biodynamic seed possible without the whole Biodynamic "field"!

Earlier today I was inspired to look up the cards of destiny for the time of that new cycle in my life and the cards positively indicated the end of a material cycle and the start of a new cycle that was spiritual.
This evening my Dyad partner talked about us "bringing a movement to the world" with what we have to share with our new awareness in communication that is greatly supported by Dyads. This deserves to be elaborated upon and I may do that at another time. For now I am noting that this sharing is relevant to that field that filled my awareness from seed-to-field consciousness. Today has been a return to the seed consciousness that grows fields whereby others can walk through in new life! Today is day one of a new cycle of conscious co-creation! I have been waiting a long time for now! Happy Day! I am all grateful for the new that is and that is to come! Happy Day!
