If you’re following the war on WikiLeaks or the so-called Twitter revolutions; if you believe in net neutrality, creative-commons licensing and open-source software; if you care about your privacy rights and think government is most honest when you have a big honking light shining on it—then you need to unplug for a few minutes to attend Drumbeat San Diego. Hosted by San Diego’s New Media Rights, the free, half-day event is part of an international campaign by Mozilla (you use Firefox, right?) to protect the open web by organizing media and tech professionals, activists and artists.
