I tend to use a little more water and less when I want to feel more full. My game plan for work is to have a really thick smoothie before work and a thinner, sweeter smoothie for my first go around which is really...well special. When you have to pass meds for twenty something little old folks who are all sick, take phonecalls, help nurse aides (I go out of my way for CNAs because I used to be one) and deal with family members, it does take a lot of you mentally.
Meanwhile, I'm tracking my fast on a CRS lent calendar. I see the fourteenth day is the day they have marked '4th station of the cross' on March 2nd. Maybe I will extend my fast beyond that. I am not having too bad reactions except that I'm not drinking as much coffee as I used to. One cup goes a longer way than choking down fig newtons and egg salad sandwiches in between medpasses. No wonder some of us nurses are so fat :(
