FIRST DRAFT
Incomplete.

February 2, 2010
I started to write this long blog
February 1. Everything was going
along fine, and then some deep unresolved
pain started to come up. The pain
turned to sarcasm. Sarcasm
is no way to make friend, and a
have a deep longing to befriend
and help the all people who have
not been taught the dangers of
white sugar, aspartame, and processed
white white wheat flour.
I am leaving this blog incomplete,
and as I wrote it, sarcasm and all.
I have rewritten parts of it in other
blogs.
Here is another Blog about
the COFFEE BEAN PLANTS
I brought to the singles shabbaton.
4:22 AM-9:00 or so..
Eva called....
I was getting too tongue in cheek.
I will tone this down later....
February 1, 2010
This weekend, was the New Year of the Trees
in the Jewish cycle of yearly Holidays.
One of the secrets encoded in healthy Jewish Living
is that the Jewish people celebrate four New Years
each year. How Divine!
Four New Years!
That means four New Beginnings.
That means four Restarts!
For many years, I have thought that
the Wisdom in this practice that promotes
four New Year's a year was too good to be just
Jewish. That is why when I participate
as Your Enchanted Gardener in the conventional
New Year of January 31-January 1, I always
set up an Altar where people have the opportunity
to Root their deepest dreams with living beet seeds,
and other seedlings or trees.
As the seed grows, so does the dream.
This is a Kabbalistic Ritual that I adopted
from the Secret Teachings of the Bal Shem Tov,
one of my all time favorite Kabbalistic master teachers.
The Bal Shem Tov would take his followings out to Nature.
The current September New Year rites called
the Rosh Hashanah include going to a moving body
of water and casting your misgivings away by tossing
bread crumbs away. Among the Jewish Renewal fold,
those who write with Pen and Paper, some write
wishes out and give them to the sea.
A cautionary note: IF you do this ritual at the seashore,
there is a likelihood that what you want to get rid of,
may be washed right back into your life. Waves do that.
One year, I was determined to cast of a relationship
that I no longer wished to endure. I tossed her name into
the ocean. No matter how hard I tried, the name kept
coming back to me. Years later, I have simply excepted
that everything she came to bring in my life was for my
own good. She turned out to be a Twin Soul, a mirror
image G-d made of me in female form. Sometimes
it is painful to look in the mirror, especially when we
imagine that what we want for ourselves, may not be
what G-d has in mind.
TU'BISHVAT is ONE OF MY FAVORITE
NEW YEARS IN THE JEWISH YEARLY CYCLE
As Your Enchanted Gardener, it is a no
brainer to imagine that the Birthday of the Trees
is a time when my spiritual essence is shining.
Being that Plants and Trees do not have feet to
carry themselves into the Shule or other places
of Jewish worship, numbers of Jewish people
over the centuries have learned to listen
close enough to our Plant Allies. We know enough
to bring nature into the Synagogue this time of year.
At the Chabad Center of La Jolla,
I chose to spend this Tu'bishvat to honor my
niece the lovely AIDEL LEAH, the esteemed
biology teacher at the HAMILTON HIGH Magnate
performing Arts School. AIDEL LEAH made
the trek down from the City of Angels (L.A)
Saturday night, to our Jewish Village of San Diego,
where here in La Jolla, there is a rich encampment
of lovely Jewish energy.
Under the guidance of Rabbi MOISE LEIDER,
the father of 12 offspring, G-d is celebrated
upstairs by the Sarphardic Jews, many singing
and dancing Morroccans, as when the the more
conservative Eskanazie', who pray downstairs.
The Rabbi does double messages each Shabos,
delivering his message both upstairs and downstairs.
Any normal man would deserve a long Shabos
shluf (nap) which also a tradition among the
devout.
At the MALAVA MALKA Celebration
at the singles Shabbaton Saturday night, where those
over 40 as well as the young at heart
came to listen to guest Rabbi SHLOMO SCHWARTZ
and the Rebbetsin OLIVIA, both enchanting
storytellers, as Your Enchanted Gardener,
I brought into the shule numbers of stories to tell
enbedded in the plants that also came to pray.
The plants were invited in by the delightful
SHOSHANA GERTZ, one of San Diego's most
highly successful matchmakers, who organized
the delightful weekend activities.
At the beginning of the Saturday night Malava
Malka, Rabbi Shlomo gave me six minutes to give
a Tu'bishvat Drosh. There was a lot more that
these plants that came to shule had to teach,
so here is a little story that went with each.
TORAH TEACHINGS
OF THE PLANTS THAT CAME TO SHULE
FOR Ty'bishvat,
CHABAD CENTER, LA JOLLA,
UNIVERSITY CITY
1- Rebbe KEEP THE BEET MEDIA STAR
The World's First Talking Beet Plant.
No doubt, the most famous plant in the
Enchanted Garden, Keep the Beet was honored
to speak at the Malava Malka.
Her message is that through growing a
simple beet in a pot, a beet grown from both
organic beet seeds as well as a repotted beet
we get from a local Beet Keeper organic farmer
at our nearby Farmers' Market, we can
each remember how keep the beat with our
divine nature.
As Rabbi Shlomo understood,
The Soul and the Earth are Soilmates.
This is the law that every Orthodox Jew
knows someplace deep inside themselves.
Soil, of course, is not smutz. Smutz,
or dirt, is something that we want to sweep
our of our lives with Holy Schmattahs
dedicated to the Great Earth Cleanup.
Soil, on the other hand, is holy substance,
the equivalent of the womb from which
all future generations will grow.
All all costs, as enlightened Rabbis know,
we want today to adopt new Food Laws,
The New Rules of Kosher, to make sure
that all Jewish women are served the finest
of local, organic foods to enhance fertility.
Jewish men under the New Rules of Kosher
are guided by their rabbis to also partake
of local organic foods from farmers they know,
as well as grow some of their own foods
and ornamental plants.
Why is this so?
Because as the great teachers the Bal Shem Tov
and one of his modern students Dr. BERNARD JENSEN
taught, Whole, pure, and nature foods--fresh
from the garden promote human fertility.
PASSION FRUIT TREE
Lest I stray to far from my subject material,
let me tell more of the stories that came to shule
for the singles Shabbaton.
I brought a Passion Fruit Tree. A perennial
this tree keeps its leaves through the four seasons.
I was careful where I placed the tree.
One of the highlights of the shabbaton for me
happened the first hour after sunset. Little did I know,
but the Chabad Community has a most delightful early
child development school in nearby Scripps Ranch.
No less than 30 minutes after we enhaled rich
and fragrant spices from third world countries
as part of the Havdallah Service upstairs, more than
45 little children and their mothers and dads showed
up downstairs!!!! I was in sheer delight!!!
The children were guided through a marvelous
kid activity of art of Rabbi LEIDER's wife, HANNA,
who is the principal of the school.
There was a central table. Each child had
a lovely art project to make.
In the back, near the Rabbi's office
was a lovely spread of brownies, pritzels,
and licorice red candie (one of my favorites
from childhood). The red licorice has
red dye, sugar, and many artificial sweeteners.
This is a good choice to serve to all our
children so they will grow up as I did
needing allergy shots. In my day,
I would leave my Hebrew Classes on Tuesday
mornings at the L.A. JEWISH ACADEMY
next to the now famous BREED STREET SHULE
and go to the corner clinic to visit Dr. TARGO,
a nice Jewish doctor. Not only did I get
allergy shots to suppress my immune system,
he he also gave me the popular drug
BENADRIL. This drug has many side effects
and I highly recommend it to further
suppress the immune system.
This is an excellent way to develop
arthritis at an early age. I began
to develop my signs of debiliating bones
at the age of 15. My condition was
not diagnosed until ten years later
at UCLA.
http://devinefarm.net/rp/rpantis.htm
HERE IS AN ARTICLE ABOUT BENADRIL
All those who want to follow my path
that may lead to crippling arthritis,
surgery, and a life of being single,
are highly adviced to eat lots of
brownies. It is good to serve our children
brownies so that when the youth grow up
they will be addicted to sugar foods.
There are more than 146 reasons why
I recommend sugar. I highly recommend
it so we can spend a lot of time in hospitals
with conditions such as diabetes. Diabetes
is a condition that begins with a weakened
Pancreas.
Spending time in hospitals gives our family
a good opportunity to visit us, and also
as we are laying around, we can pray
and think of reasons why it might be good
to take care of our health.
I highly recommend that we continue
to serve our children kosher brownies
with white sugar. This will teach them
compassion for the poor. The more
pain we have going to the dentist the better.
The more pain, the more compassion.
If your child begins to act out from
sugar, I highly recommend giving them
RITALIN, a common drug used to
calm kids down.
Here is a good article about the Side Effects
of Ritalin.
http://www.ncpamd.com/Stimulant_Side_Effects.htm
This will not hurt their intelligence too much,
and they will be docile and tame in the
classroom.
RABBI LEIDER's WIFE IS A MASTER
STORY TELLER
She is a master story teller. I was completely
taken in and joined the kids in listening.
What a gift to hear her.
Meanwhile, across the Mehittza, the screen
where women sit to pray that separates the men
from the women during prayer, were now seated
a circle of the potentially betrothed.
Inside the circle, I placed two buckets,
one of Keep the Beet, and the other of
KONA COFFEE PLANTS who were seeking
homes.
I was in Heaven!!!
Not only did I have the opportunity
following shabos to hear the delightful story
told to the kids, but my inner kid came out,
as I offered fresh sugar cane from a stalk
I brought from home, as well as pieces of
squash that I served raw.
The squash was a gift to the Jewish people
from J.R. ORGANICS, a family of fifth generation
local hispanic farmers. All Jewish people may find
some of the last remaining real food on earth
available from this loving family not only
at the LA JOLLA Farmers' Market each Sunday,
but at Farmers' Markets and CSA drop off points
that include the Mar Vista Sunday Farmers' Market
in Los Angeles.
ADULT LETTUCE iS GROWN BY THE RODRIGUEZ
FAMILY
Jewish people wanting to become pregnant,
and others who do not, should be cautious of
the Rodriguez lettuce. They grow more than
eight kinds of lettuce. This is lettuce so fresh
and filled with life giving chlorophyll, the equivalent
of hemoglobin!!! Jewish people should say
a special blessing before eating this lettuce!!!
It is so fresh, that it can turn a person's thoughts
to continuation of the species, so to speak,
if you get my drift. It is so very sexy lettuce.
LEST I STAY FROM MY SUBJECT MATERIAL....
Back to the point, while the young mothers
and children were engaged in art and listening
to the delightful story, The Passion Fruit Tree
asked me to place her right on the side of
the Mehittzah where the children were doing
their Art! One young mother, unknowingly
backed right into the luscious green leaves!!!
Oh my G-d! It was my responsibility to ask
her how many children she had. She had two.
"Is it O.K. with you, if you have another?????"
She said said, if it was G'd's will.
I asked to see the kids. So very beautiful!!!!!
For future reference, if a Passion fruit Tree
comes to visit your shule for Tu'bishvat,
make sure you place it closer to the Bima
(where the Torah sits) and well out of the way
of young mothers or fathers who may
touch the leaves. Those who wish more passion,
on the other hand, might consider having
a passion fruit growing in their personal
Enchanted Garden.
Men who wish to honor the Shabos bride
on Saturday, might offer your beloved
one of the fruits that come in the late summer
and fall. The Passion Fruit tree is easy to grow,
and bears delightful and high sensual flowers
to the gaze as well.
Every shule of the future, especially those
who wish to promote the future generation,
might have a private garden at the shule
were the newliweds are welcomed. Other's
who have eaten too much of the dessert
table, would also be encouraged to visit
the private shule garden.
I hope I have said enough about this
delicate subject....have a passion fruit
tree in your garden, but wisdom is adviced.
[ In future Enchanted Garden Halacha
(Jewish Codes) when Passion Fruit Trees
come to visit, always put a sign at their
base so all touching of the leaves is
done consciously. We do not want
unbridled passion in our Synagogues.]
LEST I STRAY FROM mY Subject MATERIAL
LEST I STRAY FROm My SUBJECT MATERIAL.
Continuing with my drosh--
I also placed The Kona coffee beans
in the center of the circle on the floor
where the singles sat.
Here is the story
that the KONA COFFEE BEAN TREE SEEDLINGS
came to tell on Tu'bishvat.
There is a tribe of UGANDA JEWS
who deeply want to be accepted as Orthodox Jews.
I was introduced to their delightful music
a number of months ago by the most
beautiful ADELE LEAH, my niece from my
sister Vivian, the mother of four, all
Shomer Shabos, with many Chasids
little grandchildren in the family.
The story of these Ugandan Jews
may be easily read on the internet.
Every time I hear more about them,
I feel my heart touched and tears come to my
eyes.

REGARDING THE DRINKING
OF COFFEE IN THE ENCHANTED GARDEN
ERA
KONA COFFEE BEAN PLANTS
visited the CHABAD CENTER
on Tu'bishvat 2010.
Sales of the plants are stabilizing
the EXOTICA RARE FRUIT NURSERY
in Vista California.
Regarding the drinking of coffee in the future
enchanted garden era, devout jews who wish to
go to Heaven quicker, shorten their lifespan,
or increase suffering, should continue to drink
commercial brands of coffee. This will eliminate
friendly flora from the bowel and help promote
acid reflux, as well as other digestive complaints.
Most commercial brands of coffee are grown
by people who are not paid a living wage for their
services. The sadness they feel is roasted into
the coffee bean. Non-organic coffee is also
highly recommended for those who wish to
learn from suffering.
Those who wish less suffering, but still enjoy
coffee to overcome the roller coaster ride
of eating processed sugar served heavily
with each meal at our sabbaton, are invited
to choice one of the organic brands.
The Enchanted Gardener's choice of coffee,
from my non-coffee drinkers point of view
would be to order your shule coffee
from the THANKGIVING COFFEE COMPANY
of Fort Bragg.
