and when you do say something about whatever moves through you in the course of reading any part of it.

It's "an excerpt from a welcome address given to parents of incoming students at The Boston Conservatory on September 1, 2004, by Dr. Karl Paulnack, director of the Music Division."

The truths it contain extend beyond the immediate listening interests of the parents of music students. It's something I would like all my friends and family to read and partly so that they can know me better. Karl wrote and shared something with people that I have never really heard before and yet expresses truths that have been deep in my soul for most of my life. I imagine that if I were to have heard this when I was in seventh grade it could possibly have changed the course of my life through some decisions I had made. However I also feel it is not too late for me to pursue new courses that include deeper awareness of what lives in me.

One thing I want to note here is that I had listened to Performance Tonight (which is where I heard Karl Paulnack speak and perform) and after the program I was reflecting on the whole course of my life and said out load I survived! (I survived toxic domestication not only through my family of origin but education, religion, employment, military service and governmental oppression!) I have survived as a heart being who's soul orientation has been to love and to love more perfectly. Karl speaks my language! He has given voice to the heart of hearts. I imagine that any one with any heart awareness will hear his message!
