Dr. Bernard Jensen was a man who shared profound wisdom.
He would say that wisdom came from learning to live wisely in this domain.

The Essene Teaching is that Wisdom is the Application of Knowledge to Experience.

Jensen told a story:

There were two surgeons in an open heart surgery.
Time was of the essence.

One surgeon stops.
He breathes. He does nothing.
He says to the other surgeon,
"We must take time, we haven't a moment to lose.

This are Precious Days and Precious Moments.

I am learning so many things.
I am having experiences that come from
appplying Laws for Living that come from
all the worlds of my being come together.

Many people in Consciousness were taking time on Sunday April 6 to
watch a film called THE MOSES CODE. They gathered in homes
and places everywhere. I did not know this was going on, but I had experiences
that told we I was living in a diferent kind of world on Sunday, April 6.

I had a choice that day when I awoke.
My head was running off into an area where wounds lurk
regarding the issues that playing for real in Male-Female Relationship
can evoke. I did not want to go there. The day had too many glorious possibilities.
I went there.

It is Spring.
I am profoundly aware of something that Dr. Jensen taught.

He was into living by the seasons.
He knew the difference between Winter and Spring energy.
As a corollary, we would say, if a person wanted to get well
they would go to the other end of the world at the end of Spring here,
to catch the beginning of Spring in a place like New Zealand.

He knew that there was a different kind of healing experience
that can take place in Spring that does not take place in Winter.

For me, I clearly see where my Meridians switch direction
when Spring flowering takes hold. It is an amazing experience.
I am doing the same thing that the trees are doing.
What I see happening on the trees, I am seeing happening inside me.

Jensen also spoke to this:
A person lives differently every decade of his life.
A person at 50 does not live the way they are asked to live at 60.
A person 60 does is asked to learn different things at 70.

I realize I have been grieving the loss of dreams I had last Spring.
These were Spring dreams! Dreams that happen in the energies of Spring.
They were not Winter Dreams.

I am seeing numbers of the dreams I had in previous Springs coming
flowering again! This is profound. I am also seeing a continuity of Seed Dreams.
Things that I initiated a few years ago are being revisited. I thought these
dreams had died. No, they were just dormant for the winter.

I am sure Joe the Farmer naturally knows some of this applied knowledge.
That is because he lives close to plants. He sees nature working out.
Many of us only see different technology working out. We live
the core relationship--our relationship with Nature--our intimate relationships
with nature to others.

This breeds a kind of thinking and allows us to buy into ways of living
that breed things like Global Warming.

That is what this Spring Campaign called
KEEP THE "BEET." The "BEET" GOES ON
is all about.

Joe the Farmer as an Archetype for the Local Organic Family Farming
doing his best to SURVIVE THIS DAY is under great duress.
He is asked to live in a world of rules and regs, born out of
ways of view balanced development of land for people and food
that is out of sync with the natural order.

Jensen spoke about Divine Order. Natural Order is in Divine Order.

If there were more of us who were Gardeners,
more of us would be attuned to a Natural Way of doing things.
We would not have an Agriculture Department that comes up
with demands that local organic farmers must cut back water use
30%. There would have to be other solutions that we would be looking
at to ensure our Earth Based Homeland Security.

We would never allow the selling off of prime food growing land
to Real Estate Investment. We would never be thinking in terms of
the City Tax Structure making ends meet through money raises
as precious land resources for food growing are turned into condos.

How can we expect a person or his/her legislator who is out of
balance with how a beet grows to understand how to keep the
beat with the cycle of natural growth????

And so that is why
This Spring Enchanted Garden Campaign is born.

The campaign is dedicated to Dr. Bernard Jensen (1908-2001),
and it is here to honor all the Joe the Farmers of the world,
these local, organic farmers who are need so very deeply
each of us to have a natural awakening.

How do we get that natural awakening?

Dr. Bernard Jensen was in the Health Sanitarium Tradition.
That meant, it held land outside the city, places like
his Hidden Valley Health Ranch. That Land is still in existence
and is in the hands of Stephen and Fiona Markowitz.
The land is now called Hidden Valley Spa. Stephen and Fiona
never knew Dr. Jensen, but this is not to say that the land itself
will not show them want it wants.

What can we each do to have a Moment of Awakening,
the kind of Awakening that Joe the Farmer so deeply needs now
to keep farming????

Go to your Farmers' Market.
Find Joe the Farmer there, your Local Organic Farmer.
Get on a first name basis. Get intimate with the person
growing your food.

Then, buy a beet. Take it home.
Put in in a pot. Grow it.

One Person + One Pot. Your are a Gardener!
You have entered Gardener consciousness.

Enter Plant Parenthood today.
Do everything that a Beet does to thrive,
and you will grow.

Say this Enchanted Garden Mantra
every time you water:

"As this beet grows so I grow."

This Earth Day, I anticipate being in at least
five events over four days.

I will introduce you to my Beet in a pot,
my teacher, my friend.

Our Friends at the Organic Center want
to see us all go up from the current 3% Organic Usage
to 10% by 2010. I know that as enough of us
grow KEEP THE "BEET." THE "BEET" GOES ON.
I see us becoming a Nation of Gardeners
by 2025. I see us going back to 100% Organic.

We cannot live at the age we are now
forever. A Moment of Awakening is upon us.

Evening Open House here at the Enchanted Garden
Intentional Community. Season of Soul Mates begins
with planting of Plant Stewardship Seed.

The Future of Community. What will it look like?
The Enchanted Garden Intentional Community has been
a living laboratory for the successes and failings of
people attempting to live together for more than 10 years,
and a community place since the early 70's.

A room is now available. Will the community become
a hands on learning center to KEEP THE "BEET?"
Will this land eventually go into a Trust and flower
into being a full on community resource, or will this
land be sold?

Land Development to what end?
This is a question facing not only farming but
the future of intentional community in San Diego County.
