A LOVE LETTER TO JOE THE FARMER

Seleyn Deyarus
Development Director for
the Organic Center.
This was our first call together.
I brought Joe the Farmer strawberries
up to the Organic Center Fundraiser last year.
Walter Robb, co-president of Whole Foods Market,
acknowledged Joe from the stage as photos of strawberries
were on a powerpoint presentation.
Other Super Ripe Images were on the screen as well.
This was the morning to speak to Laura Stravino,
membership director of the Organic Trade Association.
She alerted me to a shift in programming.
I have been the photographer for their fundraiser
the last three years.
OTA will not be doing their normal fundraising at this
years Natural Product Expo West.
That meant a shift in what I would be doing!
The call to Seleyn set things in place for this year's participation.
