good info on maintaining the hardworking nursing body structure

Nurses and nurse aides are on their constantly. It is rumored that an RN supervisor averages about seven miles a day on his/her feet. Whenever I tell my coworkers I workout during my breaks they think I'm crazy. However, I'm preserving my moneymakers, my BACK and my LEGS. When I say LEGS, I mean the hips on down and back means CORE, the whole girdle supporting our bodies. It's almost a cliche when people talk about fat nurses BUT I think there are a lot of fat nurses because they are self sacrificing people and don't sit down to a good meal. I also think their bodies are releasing a lot of stress hormones and making them fat. Let's take care of ourselves nursing staff.

personal note: I stretch out my periodically during my shift. If I work a stretch, I am SURE to go and do twenty minutes of yoga in between. The only time my back ever hurt is when I stopped working out for three weeks. Killer ladies and gents.
