This is the bread I eat,
Rye bread, no yeast,
organic,from French Meadow Bakery.
The founder of the company is my dear friend
Lynn Gordon.
i see her once a year at the Natural Product Expo West.
Lynn has a heart of gold. That is what I know I am
eating when I eat the foods that she so carefully oversees.
The French Meadow booth at the NPEW is a boubling fountain
of kindness and friendship. It is about what bread was meant to
be, a Staff of Life.
I ate this bread before I met Lynn.
Zev Rosenberg, a Sabbath honoring Jewish man
and esteemed teaching of Oriental Medicine would have me over for
Friday night dinner. French Meadow bread was the bread that received
and gave the blessing that is part of the Shabbat rituals.
This bread was always highly regarded in the Macrobiotic circles
I knew from conferences. It had a spiritual reputation that preceded getting to know Lynn Gordon.
