Another visit with the Naturopath
Minor infestation is cleared up rapidly. Possible source discovered.
Date: 9/1/2016 12:33:12 AM ( 8 y ) ... viewed 1647 times I asked my Naturopath for another herbal remedy for parasites as I had found a couple after doing a challenge test. He insisted that I see him.
My challenge test was to take Pin X along with frozen cod liver oil. It produced some flukes. Very small ones.
We agreed that I would take a 100 mg tab of mebendazole 2x a day for 5 days and retake the Pin X about 4 days after the first dose. I also did a colonic and continued with the frozen cod liver oil. On day three after taking the Pin X I also did a salt water flush in lieu of using a laxative.
We agreed that I had probably been re-infested from swimming in a river in the mid-western US. There are published reports of parasites in the Great lakes and other waters of the midwest. I am going to find the reports again to confirm the type of parasite. I found shells of the intermediate host-small snails- on the beach.
In the end, I found about 4 flukes and 3 worms total. My belief is that quick action and strong pharmaceuticals stopped the parasites. I am continuing to take DE every day to kill eggs.
I plan on doing the same challenge test on the next full moon to see if anything else shows up.
After I completed the parasite treatment, my fatigue went away.
I just discovered that the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota has a parasitology lab. I am going to see what kind of services they provide to the public. I am also going to inquire with the Public Health Depts of Minnesota and Wisconsin about their knowledge of parasites in fresh waters.
Lots to do.
