A Day in the Life of Doing Too Much
and Seeing Some Life Lessons calling for
Action

Completed some things yesterday.
Had to pay attention to one thing at a time
to get them completed.
Yesterday was a day of having too much on my plate
and in my head, including having to deal with a Major Plumbing Crisis
here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.
Danielle, our newest housemate, looked in on some of it
and thought it was a Funny Show.
I was inside looking at it. It did not feel too funny.
FIGURES
My goal yesterday was to get my 2007 Figures
in the mail to Lee at Kellogg & Andelson.
Lee is one of the Highest ranking Accountants
who works for this firm that handles million dollar accounts.
I met Lee and his lovely wife Ruth years ago at B'nai Horin,
the Jewish Renewal Community in the L.A. area. Lee and Ruth Forman
are incredible gifts to my life. I will write more about them before long.
Each year, I work in Quicken and create a Transaction Detail Report
for the year. This includes incomes and expenses. From this I extract
my Gross Income and Major Expenses. I send these to Lee and the folks
at Kellogg & Andelson. A few weeks or about a month later, I get back
this professional looking report that goes to the Federal Government and the
State of California.
Working with Money Numbers is one of my Achilles Heels.
Intense emotional feelings come up when I work with Money Numbers
and Record Keeping.
I know a person is suppose to be able to get over it, but when I deal
with Money Numbers like this, some stuff stuffed inside my body
still comes up from the time I was about 10 years old.
I am sitting at the Kitchen Table at 2505 East Second Street,
Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles. That was the house where
the plaque goes, or the Tour Bus for Kids of Post Survivors of the Holocaust
whose parents were dramatically effected and continued
to play out the unresolved trauma through shoving Religion
down the throats of their offspring.
Experience like that have a tendency to plant the seeds
for Arthritis and inflammatory Bowel. Perhaps they also
create Original Thinkers, or Master Escape Artists
who Create Incredible Physical Messes around them
through taking on too much.
