Peter Dukich made Bio-dynamic Compost for more than 50 years.
His legacy is Peter's Powder a Bio-dynamic Plant Food.
Peter's Powder is the "Dust of the Earth Risen"
through his personal shifting of 50 lb bags of bio-dynamic compost
into a fine powder. In his final years, he turned his Life Force
from making Bio-Dynamic Compost piles to shifting
remaining bags of compost. This was his Joy. This was
his Vsion. He believed Peter's Powder had magical qualities
to turn our world into an Enchanted Garden.
On his 92nd Birthday, Peter Dukich and his wife Charlotte, the
esteemed Waldorf Education Teacher Trainer, visited the
Enchanted Garden Intentional Community in San Diego.
We had a birthday party for Peter. We took photos and
recorded him taking Peter's Powder
and turning it into a liquid soil supplement
that he poured on the soil that would grow
a sunflower seedling.
We did a little plant experiment using Peter's Powder
that day.
We took two Sunflower seedlings that had grown
at Tierra Miguel Bio-Dynamic Foundation Farm in Pauma Valley.
We planted them five feet apart here in the soil at
the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.
Peter dug into the soil with love. He added Peter's Powder.
I dug into the soil with love five feet away.
I did everything the same, but I did not add Peter's Powder.
I watered and tended both plants for the next two months.
Peter's Sunflower came in 18 days before mine.
Peter's Sunflower, grown with Peter's Powder,
bore a harvest of Sunflower seeds. Mine was eaten
by bugs. His sunflower grew 1/3 larger than mine.
Less than one hour after Peter's Sunflower Opened.
I took a series of photos.
The photos are full of VItal Force and have Healing Qualities.
A 24 x36 of one of the photos in this series can be found
at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego.
That 24 x 36 was a gift to the College from Golden Flower Chinese Herbs,
Health Concerns, and TID Health.
Another 24 x 36 can be seen here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community

Two other 24 x36 sizes of Peter's Sunflower may be seen in other parts of the country.
One was purchased by Lynn Gordon of French Meadow Bakery of Minnesota.
Another is in the hands of Norman Brooks of Kopali Organics of Florida.
A small 4 x6 is being considered as a gift by the Organic Trade Association
to their donors who have contributed to their fundraising campaign.
One 24 x 36 was also in the foyer at the Organic Center Fundraiser,
March 10, 08 at the Natural Product Expo West. More than 600,000
was raised in their 2008 Fundraising Campaign. Much of it came in that night.

Peter had more than one million bottles in his estimation of
Peter's Powder in various size plastic containers. They were stored
in a shed at Tierra Miguel Bio-Dynamic Farm where he spend his final years.
Most of them were sprinkled in his honor on the soil at Tierra Miguel Bio-dynamic Farm.
A number of bottles are from sale at the Exotica Rare Fruit Nursery in Vista, CA
and are in the care of Steven Spankler, its owner. Spankler is a noted Bio-Dynamic Gardener.
I have one or two six-packs of Peter's Powder in my possession here
at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community, a gift
from Charlotte Dukich.
I promised Peter I would make a new label for Peter's Powder.
This is close to the first Anniversary of his 92nd Birthday.
I am making that label today, printed on Rhimax Chemical Free
Organic Paper.
The small portions of Peter's Powder I have,
are being used as a gift to help purchase
this land. We are Receiving $!.00 from 700,000 people
for The Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Land Purchase
and Community Renewal Project.
The Enchanted Garden Intentional Community will one day
become a Full Fledged Hands On Center where people and students
at the nearby SDSU come to remember people like Peter Dukich through getting their fingers
in the same soil that once grew Peter's Sunflower.
The Property is destined to become a Living Museum archiving
New Age History and the Return of the US as a Nation of Gardeners.
The Enchanted Garden Intentional Community is a Finishing School,
that givesthose who want to relearn how to live in harmony
with the Earth and each other, a place to explore their Seed Dreams.
The Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
houses my original writings, one of a kind archives from my
years as a ghostwriter/editor for Dr. Bernard Jensen,
and Essene School of Thought Materials. A library of Edmond Bordeaux Szekely books
is also in our library.
